In our Sixthreezero Rickshaw review, we take a look at this pedicab-styled e-bike and see how it performs against our standardized e-bike tests.
We test the Rickshaw's range in both PAS 1 and PAS 5 to see how far you can get on a single charge.
We test the Rickshaw's braking performance to see how its Tektro mechanical disc brakes handle bringing this 160 lb sled to a safe stop.
We test the speed of the Rickshaw at all 5 levels of pedal assist and how fast the Rickshaw can be throttled up to its top speed.
So, helmets on and passengers buckled up, let's get into the Sixthreezero Rickshaw review!

This kind of trike really should be tested with additional weight in the rear, say 200 pounds as a standard weight so that trikes rated for lesser weight could still do the range test and get a fair comparison. I could also see adding a canopy / solar panel to help with range as a pedal cab, while keeping your customers in the shade or out of the worst part of the rain with minimal modification. I would think the rear bench seat could be replaced easily with a large well insulated permanently mounted cooler for carrying food and drinks, which would make a nice grocery hauler / snack vendor set up as well. This would make a good golf cart replacement for beach or campground use as well.

I love this thing. It's very unique and seems like a good car replacement for shorter trips. I feel like American car dependent infrastructure really limits it's potential but that goes for all cargo bikes/trikes. I like the gradual gain in speed. The high PAS range is bad but I didn't expect much better. It's not something I would purchase (Just don't need a cargo trike) but I'm glad it's on the market for those who want or need one. Side Note: Are y'all able to review the Velotric Fold? I watched some other reviews and it looks like a great bike but I'd love to see the data that your reviews provide

That thing is cool . They could use 52V maybe.. Get peak up a couple hundred more watts.

Very likely it's a legal issue why they limited it to 750 watts. It's silly but there are laws that limit the power of electric bikes in many places. And 750 is about the highest legal limits I have seen, some places are as low as 200 watts. You would think for a multi-seat trike designed to carry passengers there would be exceptions to the 750 watt limit, but I have never seen an exception listed in power limiting laws for e-bikes. Being an above knee amputee I have looked at e-bike laws a good bit.

Lol. You should have tested with a 250 lb big boy on the rear seat for throttle only test. Then see if it does 20 mph still.

Haven't watched it in full yet but 160mm brakes seem light for such a heavy bike with a 500lb capacity...180 or even 200mm would be better
@Dang_Near_Fed_Up
@Dang_Near_Fed_Up Месяц назад
I'd put 200mm as a minimum for stopping 500+ pounds

I think you missed an opportunity to give more relevant data on range when fully loaded. I know that's not in your usual testing wheelhouse, but range under load would be especially good for them ( a purchaser) to know. call it a one off. something to think about.

I agree, I proposed a standardized 200 pound testing weight, so bikes with less capacity would have a fair comparison. But I could see doing a maximum rated capacity test as well. It's more work, but it is information buyers really need to know.

You can actually buy a 185cc gas powered Kawasaki or Honda Trike in the Philippines for about that price New. A real trike Taxi for a business.

@@nevamind932 my girlfriend owns a couple trikes. They need a business license for taxi service that is like every few years too
@Dang_Near_Fed_Up
@Dang_Near_Fed_Up Месяц назад
@@nevamind932 Depends on where you are, some places do not require anything like that for e-bikes but do for gas bikes, and some places do not require it for even gas bikes. Of course many places require it for ANY bike even non-motorized ones being used in a business. Either way gas motors tend to be loud to the point of annoying the customers, and the smell is not good for business either. Something electrics do not have to deal with. Plus the cost of gas is an additional expense to be figured in to profit / loss of the business.

I would worry about how low the chain sits. Is there an accessory that makes the low chain more stable/protected?

Thinking of getting this so I can haul my three kids aged 3, 4 and 5 years. I’m somewhat concerned with them all fitting comfortable on this bench. Anyone have any experience with this?

What e-bike would you recommend to someone who weighs about 350 lbs? I would like to know. Thank you.

Its way to small to be carrying a passenger with the name rickshaw , you see kids on this video, now put adults male/female/

We tested with adults as well. The extra weight is actually pretty nice as it keeps it more stable.
