I've spent a lot of my life trying to find Rodriguez in other genres... But he is unique and special - what a shame to hear he's gone, all my head can do is think about what life would be like if he was famous. As he says probably no different, but as a talent there's no other like him. Strange to miss someone you've never met, but this feeling will stay with me forever, because he is just Rodriguez - without equal in music
I Could recommend you to listen Charles Manson. Before all that crimes he commited, and I am not supporting his psico mind, he recorded some songs and jams that, to me, is very similar to what rodriguez done.
There's something uncapturable about his voice and essense which makes your soul tingle, whatever it is I am happy to be blessed forever being able to listen to his songs, just a pure delight in a subtle and very personal way
Le racisme dans toute ça splendeur au usa comment un telle artiste on pu passé à côté de ces chansons que dis je ce poète au grand cœur il laisse un héritage au monde et bien entendu à sa famille paix à son âme
It is part of three unreleased songs. Cant get away, street boy (my favourite song of his) and ill slip away. These were realsed as bonus tracks and are on neither of his two albums. So they wont be on spotify until they release 'at his best'. Which is a compilation album from 77' which contained these 3 songs
Born in the troubled city In Rock and Roll, USA In the shadow of the tallest building I vowed I would break away Listened to the Sunday actors But all they would ever say That you can't get away from it No you can't get away No you can't get away from it No you can't get away Schooled on the city sidewalks Coldness at every turn Knew I had to find the exits I never, ever would return Scoffed at the prophet's omens That said I would live to learn That you can't get away from it No you can't get away No you can't get away from it No you can't get away Going out I-80 to the west coast Stopped in the sleepy town Left my change and walked out I didn't even turn around What they were getting next to Was that old familiar sound That you can't get away from it No you can't get away No you can't get away from it No you can't get away In a hotel room in Amsterdam On a wild and windy August night As a cloud passed over a cold moon My heart was seized with terror and fright Seeping up through the floorboards Coming in through the walls Coming in through the doorway Ringing up and down the halls That you can't get away from it No you can't get away No you can't get away from it No you can't get away No you can't get away No you can't get away No you can't get away Låtskrivare: Sixto Diaz Rodriguez

When I bought a new stainless steel ring in a little merch shop in The Netherlands I heard Sixto playing from the speakers. I had trouble taking the ring off so I used a bit of soap. Either way. I complimented the owner for his taste. Good memories
Alors là, je suis sidérée : je connaissais cette musique depuis au moins 7/8 ans et ne me suis jamais posée de question sur le chanteur.... Merci Seb pour m'avoir fait redécouvrir cet artiste et cette musique
