Love your reactions and I love this video. I like to call it the last leg of the Courtney/Tina Grand Slam: Nutbush City Limits, Voice Kids UK audition, 12 years old; River Deep Mountain High, AGT finals, 14; What's Love Got To Do With It, quarantine cover, 16; and imagine sitting in a Hawaiian themed karaoke bar on the coast of the Black Sea in Turkey and a girl who's just there celebrating her 18th birthday walks in and does that🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Bob. Great reaction as always. What a gem this one is. Yeah, Courtney simply on vacation at a karaoke bar. If you were at a karaoke bar and Courtney walked in, or you just heard that spectacular voice, you’d fall off of your chair. Seen before where someone has recorded her who didn’t realize who she was, but she was just so good, they had to get the performance, and then later figured out who it was. Couple of things that we can say from this performance, and others. Courtney’s voice and sound are completely unique. No other voice in music anything like it. You hear one note and you know it’s Courtney. Two, it just shows Courtney’s incredible level of pure natural talent. How many artists could get up in a karaoke bar, with no studio equipment, and put on this kind of magnificent performance. Even more, how many would have the confidence to even attempt to. So many artists won’t let you hear anything they do until everything is perfect. Courtney is so cool about it. She’ll sing on live chats, from the car, anywhere, strictly off the cuff. It is so much fun. Third, Courtney never takes a performance off. Every time you hear her, whether in practice or on a stage, she gives you everything she’s got. She’s all in, each and every time. This is the perfect example of where she could have just taken it easy. As you said, sounds like there was only six people in there, but that just isn’t who Courtney is. Such an amazing artist and person. Can’t wait for her album drop. It will be epic. Can't wait until the New York Pops releases their video of Courtney performing 'Piece of my Heart' at Carnegie Hall on April 29th, so you can react to it. She led off the show and blew the roof off, the doors out and totally dominated the stage. She had everyone at Carnegie Hall up on their feet in a standing ovation. All I can say is take how magnificent Courtney sounds digitally and multiply it be ten, and you get some idea of how spectacular she is in a live performance.
Thank you. I can’t imagine her giving half ever. Thats definitely not who she is. I am looking forward to her album and the Carnegie Hall performance as well. Thank you again for watching and your awesome comment.
Ed, when I talked to NYPops spokesperson, she said they were recording it for "internal purposes only" and not for public consumption. Carnegie Hall said it was a "rental" and only referred back to NYPops. Do you know differently?
@@rickrhoden1 No Rick. Since you’ve talked to them, you know more than I do. I just know that the fact that it was recorded is the key. Initially there was some question as to whether it would even be recorded. Now that it’s in the archives, if they see a possible way to make revenue off of the archived footage, whether through creating a special, or through releasing it to their Carnegie Hall plus channel, they will do so. It just may not be soon 🤷
Ed --- " Thank you Thank you Thank you " for providing me with an update as to how Courtney did at Carnegie Hall ! I've been wondering about it for days but hadn't heard a word. I'm not at all surprised that she had people standing , probably early on in her performance , as well as blowing the roof off of the whole place. She's just that kind of performer and everything about her is spectacular ! Can't wait to see her show. Hopefully it will be available to us , and soon !!
My apologies Bob ! I meant to comment on how much I enjoyed your knowledgeable and insightful reactions to Courtney . I can't wait for more to come and you have indicated that you have more to come! Also, when Courtney's album finally does arrive there will be a ton of reactions that you will be kept busy on and I look forward to it!
excellent reaction! in my opinion courtney - in this case - did not follow one of her idols "tt", but rather stuck to the original version of CCR Ccreedance Clearwater Revival). no one else could have realized this "more aggressive" pure rock style "only" with her vocal abilities. best regards from germany and keep on having fun with courtney
Big voice for little Courtney to fill! But she nails it! Courtney is definitely a natural born singer. What an amazing artist she is,in more ways than one😊 can't wait for her to make it big-time
This was her 18th Birthday, or a few fays on either side. It was in a Hawaiian-style Tiki Bar in Turkey (or the country formerly known as Turkey), and for her to kill it, at a Karaoke machine, she should be dominating the charts, compared to the honestly, utterly forgettable, what passes for pop music these days.
She did this by heart. She did not even need the words like other Karaoke contestants. I think she practiced this, especially the second part. How would you like to follow her on karaoke night?
