Basically, you will need 9-inch blocks for the foundation construction of houses with upper floors, however, if there is a need to mix them with 6-inch blocks, then that decision will be made by your builder or building contractor. It depends on the soil in the land and how solid you want your house to be, I would suggest 35 blocks for one 50kg bag of cement.

I used 6inches Hollow Block for my foundation in building 5 bedroom duplex. Did rafting on the ground. Is it ok?

It is not bad as long as the raft foundation is well done, and i guess the soil has low bearing capacity so the hollow blocks can reduce the overall weight of the building on the land. However 6 inch hollow blocks are not ideal if you are using strip foundation.

Pls sir u said 9inches only has hollow ones and hollow block and not good for foundation so if we are to build a duplex how are doing to build the foundation of a storey building

I said 6-inch hollow blocks are not recommended for foundation construction, not 9-inch hollow blocks.
