what are you on about nacnate? its business, the reason Johns brand has made it this far is the reputation that he has created for himself over the years. RU-vidr's merchandise doesn't fit the same category as brand clothes (e.g H&M, Zara, Gap etc.). The merch that youtuber's sell is purchased predominantly by their fanbase.Meaning that they are the target audience. Having a large following helps to boost sales as the audience for this merch is larger. Thus the interest for the product rises. So why don't you go away, pick up a book and educate yourself. Maybe try and do something like sirenthesaint.

So I got a scoop story of Rip and Dip 7 years ago, and how it became so darn popular in the past couple years blows me away. Simply one counselor guy was bringing his boxes of shirts to camp Woodward and selling them to the campers. The camps office would talk to the guy, asking him to stop selling shirts because kids weren't buying camp tees anymore. Silly sounding I know, but it's crazy to hear how that little start up skate company is going in the same place as thrasher now.

I just thought I'd put this out there - With the style of music you seem to include in these vlogs, I think you'd like the band Angels & Airwaves. My whole problem with Zumiez is, because on the east coast it just destroys the local skate shop scenes, and does very little to give back. Yes I appreciate the best foot forward contest series. Though it doesn't make up for taking away the dozen contests that used to be held by local shops put out of business, because they continuously undercut their prices. Also the lack of knowledge about the skateboarding scene of a good chunk of Zumiez employee's gets to me. This could be a regional thing though. I for certain know a lot of good skaters employed by Zumiez. It does have pro's, but it's cons really should be addressed by the company.

Honestly I don’t have a problem with zumiez. Where I live it’s the only “skate shops” near us under and hour so it’s the most convenient, and the employees seem freindly and actually knowledgeable on the stuff

Does anyone here not skateboard for, you know, tricks and whatnot? I came to this channel when I was buying my first real board, and I ended up buying a Penny board (against John's beginner video), just for cruising. I then tried a longboard and subsequently will be in a wheelchair for the next year, but that's immaterial. I'm just wondering, I really just enjoy the daily content, and I *used to* skate just to relieve stress.
