Would you consider making a myth unit tierlist? Maybe even a human solider & god power tierlist? I think many people enoy the podcasty format you did with the god tierlist!
Boit,This time I disagree; Earthquake into houses when the enemy is only 2tc.. (i dont know if mysta realized, but those where all the houses, the totality of them) is harmful if you are raiding in that intense way, not mentioning Mysta thought he could take the enemy's forward TC relatively simply.. Mysta was aiming for Pop-Starving. Maybe combining the siege a couple of Hetairoi would have done better i dont know.
I guess it's proof that the old pros still are way better on avg than the peopel who played in recent tournaments regularly even tho they should have basically learned it all for 10years or at least seen the guide/stepbystep form, especially like when they were playing; back then it felt like impossible to get 2000 or high ELO but now today it's like I just got it a few years ago whatever. This isn't even like 'player1 who plays more recently on average does the textbook strategy that is proven to be good but just fails', it's like, 'player1 gets *taught a lesson* from someone who was a top player years ago then came back to play a few games' lol. Game was over minutes earlier even if it lasted 20 mins and both sides got to use everything. I doubt he is even like at the form when when he was a teen or when he played for the top spot. Imagine if the players like ArmyCore and the others who played in team like a long tiem ago came back and played vs current winners, would probably be epic and I would not doubt if they win, even with the annoyance of players simply copying optimal buildorders, trying to 'cheese' and be narcissists, and trying to be really robotic to play.
Maybe there is something to what you suspect, but I think this is not an example to prove your point. On the one hand Skady is known to pick suboptimal strategies for the lolz, and even with the most optimal strategy Zeus would have been on th backfoot in this matchup. On the other hand Mista is not really out of the rts genre - over all the years he kept playing AoEO, AoE2, AoE3 so he didn't get rusty a tiny bit; and he is completely in shape and in the current AoM meta already: he streamed AoM regularly for more than a year now and was even a balance discussion magnet during VBP 5.0 in March 2021. It is very likely that any pro who didn't play rts in the last 10 years would be out of shape and would get totally wrecked. Seeing these old pros in their previous form would be interesting indeed. But Mista is way better than back then.
