These are among the best options for sweets to offer during Lent. Skaltsounia with a special filling. These ones are among my favorite fasting biscuits.

RECIPES:
Ingredients
500-550 g of self-rising flour
300 ml seed oil
50 g of sugar
150 ml of white wine
2 vanillas
For the filling
50 g of walnuts
50 g of Turkish delight
1-2 tbsps of jam
Rose water
Powdered sugar
Method
We make the dough for the scalzounia. Mix the oil, wine and sugar.
We then incorporate the flour and vanilla until we have a soft dough that does not stick. Cover it and leave it for 1 hour in the fridge.
We continue making the filling. Grind the walnuts and the Turkish delight in the food processor. We add the jam of our choice and work.
Take the dough out of the fridge and roll it out with your hands.
Place filling in the center and close well. We open them slightly and give them a crescent shape.
We place them on a tray with non-stick paper and bake at 180 degrees Celsius, on the resistances, until they are golden brown.
While they are hot, put them on powdered sugar.
Sprinkle them with flower water and cover them with powdered sugar.
When they cool down, serve our scalzounia! Enjoy!
