i’m not sure if this is what chris meant about the lighting, but at the end, during jonas’ speech, the perspective changes from sana, to us as viewers, that’s why it looks like they’re filming a screen, because they are. it’s us watching sana and our comments on the skam website from across seasons, as if to say it’s your season now. it truly was a life changing experience watching this live. strangers of all ages coming together to connect over this show that’s all about allowing yourself to be open and vulnerable and real. thanks for letting me experience it again 💗
It really was life changing. There was a facebook group with around 40,000 people from different countries coming together, discussing theories about the episodes, connecting with the show, with the characters and with each other, sharing personal stories, celebrating love and diversity. And then this finale comes, and we're included - the clips at the end were of comments in that very facebook group, and we all felt like we were a part of this huge, beautiful community that included the creators, the actors, the characters AND the fans. It was a beautiful experience, and yes, I cried like a little bitch when I watched lmao.
jonas/eva sorta didn't come out of nowhere bc during this week there were texts that said that eva and jonas had hooked up like two weeks ago so they were kinda already vibing
Other than the bloopers you should react to the video Even made for Isak's birthday (it's the "movie" they're talking about in their clip, Even filmed it and put it on youtube and Isak was trying to find it by guessing the title, which is " *The boy who couldn't hold his breath underwater* ".) Also about Penetrator Chris I remember that there was some social media stuff before the finale, a chat with William where he was all "oh I found the one, it's Eva, I truly love her" and William was all sceptical like "sure mate, you're /always/ sure" and that makes me believe he's one of those people that go from 0 to 100 immediately talking about love and getting all obsessed when it's just an infatuation, and just as fast they jump to the next person (infact you can see he immediately gets all "omg I love you" with Emma too. As in, he's such a good fuck boy that he fools himself too, not only the girls lol Anyway I'll miss your reactions, and I suggest letting some time pass but eventually do check out the remakes because they're not simply "the same story but with different characters", at all -I mean, so many people are watching them all, we would be crazy to do that if it was the same thing lmao Skam Espana is doing a Noora AND Vilde season, Skam France is having a Mahdi season right now, Skam Italia got so popular that it's on Netflix now and they're all doing amazing conventions with crossover pictures with the original cast, it's so lovely :)
@@lauratroy13 Wtfock Season of Evan and Isak was POORLY done, the editing was off, some scenes were very odd to watch, the conversations something was missing it didn't feel natural like how some of us fans felt when we watched SKAM OG. But YES they have a great William aka Senne. Unfortunately, WTFOCK followed the same storyline like the OG SKAM they broke up Zoe and Senne in S3, but at least we got to see them living together.
@@westerlo4 Only good part of the whole remake, and the girl squad was really cool too. But the season 2 was not good. Sorry! I found it boring and some scenes were cringy to watch.
@@fruityxoxo1991 you don't need to tell me, ik. I just pointed out that they changed a lot. The chemistry between the boys was outstanding but the writing was utter garbage
I've been a supporter of this channel for a long time but the last time I was so emotionally invested in these reaction was when the cozy four were reacting to atla. Watching the normies react to this beautiful show was amazing but also watching them really connect to it, get invested in it and of course listening to their own hilarious stories was incredible. It's been a ride. Alt er love.
Okay since no one in the comments has mentioned it yet, I just want to point out that at the end of the episode (starts 26:28), the camera is filming a screen, showing some scenes from this episode again. That's because they're showing it from our perspective, the fans' perspective. They've showed the series from everyone's perspective and Julie wanted to show that we are a big part of the show too. How we watched it on our screens, got emotional in the comments, how we took it to our hearts. It was Julie's tribute to us. (Julie took alot of inspo from fans, from like outfits to characters, you should check out the story behind Julian Dahl, it started as an inside joke on set) Second of all, Emma and Chris in the episode is the result of one of many butterfly effects that Jonas is talking about in the speech. It's like they were meant to meet right there and they kind of show it in the end when Jonas talks about the butterfly effect in the speech with clips of how they both ended up there. If it weren't for Chris asking Jonas for flower advice Jonas wouldn't have invited Emma etc etc. So just like Pat said, it was supposed to show love at first sight, a destiny thing, and not some fuckboy thing. Chris was ready to get in a relationship, he was done playing around, if not he wouldn't be so eager to be Eva's boyfriend earlier in the episode. So there was Emma. (PS. Why is Sarah acting like Isak and his friends didn't talk about Emma looking like Natalie Portman when she was introduced?! And Isak said she looked like Eleven just to neg her. Sarah's like "I was gonna say she looks like Natalie Portman!! Have you ever seen the Star wars movies" Girl, we've been through this already haha)
I felt so much nostalgia. I remember we got one clip per day for each character leading up to the end. We'd all try to guess who'd be next. Such a great show. I loved watching you guys fall in love with it
this show was really a treasure, i miss it everyday, it was really like watching those group of people living their lifes and feeling as you were friends with them, i cry everytime i watch that last scene because if there's a message on this show it's that we should always try to love and respect each individual, everyone is on their own journeys, fighting their own battles, but we find strength in those around us whom we love. i have the note noora had in her mirror beside my bed, it's the first thing that anyone sees when they come to my room and they always ask me about it, it's a good reminder to try and be good to people.
They also almost ruined the gorgeous song (by highasakite) on that scene, when that song should've only been remembered for the first time it was used. OK, so Jonas and Eva almost did kiss in this scene, but the song starts when Emma and Chris first see each other, which doesn't fit at all, IMO.
since i haven't seen it mentioned yet, the eskild/linn clip with noora maybe moving out was a metaphor for skam leaving us and us, like eskild and linn, being sad - so everything eskild was saying was meant to reassure us about skam :') so many little things in this ep alone, it is truly such a brilliant TV episode and ending to a series
I hope you react to the Netflix series Ragnarok. The actor who plays Magnus from Skam is the lead and the actors who play Chris P and Sonja are in it too. It's so good and there's only 6 episodes. Also it's not about the MCU 😅
I just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys react to this series. I love that you guys went into this as a request thinking it’d be a one of and just another teen show and that because of the story you all got so invested and fell in love with the characters. I personally loved you guys discussions at the end full of stories and the show making you think back to you own teenage days. I recommend this show to literally everyone and I think you guys journey is how those initially skeptical about the show would go to. Thank you for taking a chance on this beautiful show
Ugh, so sad this reaction series is ending, I loved watching you watch Skam. You could do an episode watching "Hei Briskeby" Sanas brother and his friends RU-vid channel.
I know i'm too late for this party, but i discovered SKAM just 2 months ago and i'm mindblown how good it is, and ofc reactions to it were natural to be visited next. Story, characters and cast were so perfect, i never seen anything like this. Big Thanks to The Normies for these reactions and disscussions, it added a lot of perspective to this show.
What would be interesting for you guys for a bit more infos is, as pointed out by others, to watch the birthday video even made for isak they talked about in Evens clip. But also the last hei briskeby video (the RU-vid channel of sanas brother and his friends) with even in it, it's called nipple twist. He explains his maniac episode he had in his old school, why they stopped being friends and more. the video in general is very funny and wholesome.
As someone that doesn't rock with noora x william; straight guys seem to fck with them since the season shows the guy's side too, with Sana's convo with Noora then about William's perspective and addressing the one sided case that girls often take when evaluating male violence and interaction. Straight men usually get the short end of the stick in romance stories when it comes to development and understanding from fanbases. So I get why guys are usually his fans.
Ive seen skam 2 times before, so this time (the third) I desided to watch it with U guys. Enjoyed it alot, so interesting hearing how people from other parts of the world can relate. As a Swede I can relate alot and even if Im 46, theres not much that has changed.........so I just wanna say a big thank you. Now Im just gone wait for you guys to do Young Royals........it has to be done:)) Much love from Sweden.
Watched the entire playlist in a week it was so much fun watching with you guys, first time i see anything related since i finished watching the series in 2017 oh god i miss skam
Yes, they definitely should, if they are able to watch it somewhere with subs? I saw that there was a trailer on imdb with subtitles, but is the whole series subtitled and available somewhere. It´s a great series, and I´m so looking forward to the next season.
Vilde's mum is either suffering from anxiety or alcoholism or both. William doesn't tell Noora about his father asking them to come back because he knows what she would want, and that is to stay in Norway. Because, unlike previously, they understand each other much better now and William just wants to stay and support Noora. The dream Penetrator Chris had is foreshadowing because he literally does ask Emma out in front of Eva. Also the fact that Chris repeated the words Dr Skrulle said to her to Even and makes him feel better really shows how she took those words to heart. The homophobic scene and Isak's message to Noora after praising Sana shows his character development because he finally truly realises how brave Sana is and how hard it is to deal with hate and to move on and not internalise that anger. Really wish there was a Vilde season like there was supposed to be because there's a lot of potential for character development there. The end montage was so good because not only does it parallel the start, the blurry-quality pictures are shot from a phone camera showing SKAM on a device, basically from our perspective. It represents us the audience watching on our computer screens. The reprise of 'Lover where do you live' is so beautiful because it juxtaposes the scene in season 1 where Jonas wants Eva to find herself and the lyric 'If I ever see you again, my love. All I'm ever gonna do is send shivers down that spine of yours' fits perfectly because they eventually got back together. Takk for alt. Fun fact: Eva and Jonas got back together partly because Marlon (the actor for Jonas) wanted those two back together. Also Chris and Vilde weren't supposed to be crying but the actors were so emotional they started crying anyway.
I know that you don't wanna react to a remake which I totally understand but I think some of you may be interested in watching certain seasons on their own because most of them are really doing an amazing job at creating original content!! Skam France has been renewed for original seasons, they're currently airing their Madhi season and probably an Even season after that. Druck (Skam Germany) will also have a 5th season with a completely new generation. Especially Druck did some major changes during their 2nd and 3rd season (don't wanna spoil anything but if I said what they changed you'd wanna watch it immediately:) Skam España did their 2nd season about Chris, who's bisexual and who kinda got the Isak storyline bc of that. Their 3rd season is a shared season between their Noora and their Vilde!! and they're also changing soooo much. So in conclusion I'd recommend checking out Druck season 3 (!!) and season 2, France season 5 and España season 2 and 3 if you're interested:)
You guys are like the 5th reactors I've watched that have finished the show and I still teared up this time lmao. I'm so fucking glad that you decided to watch this show. I would've never expected it since you guys are so popular. Thank you Nasser the Artist for bringing Skam into their lives. The discussions allthroughout the series have been so insightful. It's been since ATLA that I've felt this connected to your guys' reactions.
I’m so happy you guys watched this show! The conversations you had after every episode were so thoughtful and funny and deep, and some of my favorite you guys have ever had. Very glad you enjoyed!!
Are you guys going to watch all the extra videos? Like the Bloopers and Isak's Birthday video, and the Balloon Squad videos (Can't remember what they are actually called) and some crack videos.
Isak confronting the guy who calls them f*gs goes straight back to the discussion Eskild had with Isak in S.3 "until you've fought for the right to be who you are...." Isak is ready for that fight now, but has Even tocalm him down and just let him be himself. They're two halves, two faces of a coin. They heal and complete one another.
this was such a wild journy to rewatch skam with you guys but dang i’m so glad that they all had fun. But i also agree to when they’re saying that they should show some of these episodes in film classes because of how good it is just by being minimalistic. anyway ALT ER LOVE.
Naw Mickey is such a deep thinker (as far as I can tell lol), he makes connections the others don't. (Well, he and Marketa.) I totally agree about connecting with the Norwegian characters first and foremost, the other versions don't really compare to the OG imho. Some of them have okay moments but they don't come close the humour and originality of OG Skam. As always I enjoy especially Surajs enthusiasm over William lol - you're my man lmao. Loved W & Nooras final scene together with Eskild & Linn, how far they all have come. Bawled my eyes out over Chris & Vilde's scene (the acting! Magnus!) plus Jonas speech to Sana. I totally agree with Mickey, there are few shows that manage to tie everything together as well as Skam in the end. Not a massive fan of the sudden Jonas/Eva reunion - and Chris/Emma lolol - but apart from that the finale was pretty much perfect. Especially appreciated the clever way Julie Andem used the viewers own reactions (the text snippets we saw at the end were copied from actual Skam boards) to drive the point home about hate vs love. Thanks for your awesome reactions! If a girl could dream I'd love for you to react to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I honestly think you would love it. Anyway, fully enjoyed your reactions to Skam!
Eva and Jonas finding back to each other, if even just for a moment, was emotional for me. Took me back. Plus I never liked the buttery sleek Chris P. The P stands for prick.
Did you miss the part about Even making a film for Isak on his birthday? You need to check it out! It´s on RU-vid and it´s called "Gutten som ikke klarte å holde pusten under vann". Hope to see your reaction to it soon. And also the Hei Briskeby-videos by Sana´s brother and friends!
@@ZariDV Well, it wasn´t that hard to guess since Even *literally* said that he was going to a make a film about Isak and call it "Gutten some ikke klarte å holde pusten under vann". (Season 3, episode 5). So it wasn´t so much about guessing, as remembering.
Hey I just found those reactions, and I love them. It seems like you enjoy that show with drama all over the places and also a lot of serious subjects mentioned and analysed. So I am asking you guys, no Begging, pleeeease watch Skam France. The two first seasons are similar and it makes you watch the whole serie again with a New eye now that you know the plots while noticing the characters subtle changes. Then on Season three thé serie start on whole New level. Season four is (in my opinion) so différent but better because France bas a much longer history with Islam. And there is more than four seasons. The others focus on side characters which let us see more about the french Chris and French Vilde. It is really Amazing and worth the shot. 😸 Thank you for reading me even if my english is not the best. 😅
Don't forget Isak's birthday video💗 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UC9fh2zy6eI.html. ( Can't find with English subs right now) And Wonderful fan art. 😍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HuCQHAPza7o.html
I'm telling you, y'all should really react to the international versions of SKAM. They are worth watching! SKAM France had to pretty much do Seasons 1 and 2 as they were and if it got popular then they were able to differ a little from the the original for the next seasons. And boy, Season 3 is just a masterpiece with brilliant acting, directing, cinematography, and music! Season 4 is also well done too. They also were able to continue with a Season 5 which centered on Mahdi's French counterpart Arthur. For Season 6, they introduced Lola, a younger half-sister of Vilde's French counterpart Daphne. That season centers on Lola, but also goes a little deeper into Daphne's (aka Vilde) eating disorder. It's addicting just like the OG series!
You guys should check out Ragnarok, it's a Norwegian series about the old gods and titans living in the modern times. You'll also recognise some skam actors :)!
I kinda want to see your reaction for the new season of Skam(france), because it is a new story, but yeah I understand that it will be hard to understand who is who + it takes a pretty long time to watch Make you could just discuss this season on the podcast and your expectations for it?
They should definitely watch season 5 of Skam france. I'm watching now and I've only seen season 3, it's not that bad picking up the names and Skam france didn't change much from the og, but they should probably watch one season of it before watching season 5 because it would be hard to know what's going on if it's an original season
@@madeira5058yeah, kind of, I just think that they have other things to do and to watch. So they can't just watch, we can say, the whole Skam again, it took them a year to watch the og. It will be too much for my impatient heart😂 P. S. Skam France is really good, it is my favorite after the og❤️
Do not watch SKAM FRANCE Season 1, 2 and 4 skip all of that. Watch only S3 and S5...i would strongly suggest that too. Except Season 3 of Skam France was VERY Similar to the ORIGINAL. Also, the French exaggerated a bit of everything, and romanticized everything even more. Girls lost their shit watching one HOT actor make out and be naked in few scenes. SMH!! Let's all be real here the show wouldn't have been watched if they didn't put a hot actor in the season. Skam France was the least favourite, and very poorly done in the previous seasons, there was nothing great about it. Season 4 was not that great either, and season 5 at the moment is doing well...but some fans still find it boring. I personally really like Season 5 the storyline is great, and I love that we get to see Arthur's journey. xD
