PLEASE PUT HOMAGE ITEMS. We need items that honor Big Black and make reference to old skate games. BB board, bring the chain back, the hat!! Maybe be able to skate as him??
Highly technical skateboarding game with multiple players, graphics are gonna take a hit, especially if they are planning to release on all platforms. Personally i prefer frames over graphics in skateboarding games.
I think the biggest thing that they said was having an eye towards the future. Us having to wait so long between the last game and this one is something that they are probably expecting for the next game and want to make it easy to update. There is a little bit of concern for me with cross platform between mobile devices and higher power devices. But with how advanced phones are becoming, it may not be as bad as we think I do, however hope that they don’t hold back and make it so mobile players are the only ones who get a “lite” version of the game
I don’t want a skate metaverse. Private mode. And sell the thing damn it. Even though I can’t afford it. No one likes free stuff. Also add grab the board with your hand on flip to grab tricks. One last thing, put it out! Come on!
I mean... Some ftp games are fine though. Fortnite isn't half bad as a free game: all the gameplay options are available to you, and you only pay for optional customization. If Skate 4, as they say, is gonna be the same, but also have additional free unlockables on top of that, I don't see the problem. Sure, it's a shame that it isn't going to be a premium game, especially for preservation, but, for one I don't even think we need another premium Skate game on top of what we already have (if anything, modern console/PC ports of Skate 1 to 3 would be appreciated); then, there are also plenty of indie alternatives coming up alongside, to fall back on if Skate 4 flops. Finally, all the communication from Full Circle shows that they are very confident about the game. I don't think they'd be communicating with us that much about how the game's coming along, if EA was truly holding them at gunpoint to release a "virtual storefront with no substance" to fill with microtransactions and ride on the hype of the Skate franchise. I'm confident. I'd say, let them run this experiment. It's not the end of the world if it flops. And besides, it's free, so it doesn't hurt for us to try. (I also heard some people managed to get ahold of some of the earliest testing builds that offer all the new physics and experimental stuff, minus all the future FTP stuff to be added. Wink, wink.)
they already promised that the game will not have lootboxes, or pay to win elements. nor will it have areas locked behind a paywall. its probably just extra cosmetic stuff you can buy
But when is it coming it is taking forever and now they adding mobile. Damn. Another 3 years. Cant wait till console playtest in fall, signed up years ago so really hope I can get it.
They made this game ftp and always online so we cant mod it out and add our own outfits so they can monetize a pair of vans lol its wild how games are these days got me f’d up sticking to session and skater xl
11:02 yeah i gotta complain about the stickers, why are the only options right in the middle of your nose, board, and tail? Ik theyre still working on the game so hopefully they change this, but stickers should be placed freely anywhere on your board. Only having these 3 specific spots to put your board on is the exact opposite of "being creative" because you're limited to only 3 options. And lets be real, skaters dont put stickers smack dab in the middle of their board.
For those that are worried about it coming to mobile, worry not! A mobile port is still very possible to accomplish without diminishing the complexity it can have on consoles or PC. Fortnite was able to port to mobile pretty well, and i have faith the Skate dev team can do the same. The only people that should be worried are the casual mobile gamers that are probably gonna have to deal with really janky on screen controls! (Though im pretty certain they'll add controller compatibility on mobile so its not that worrisome)
@THEredSkelington pretty late to this comment but im gonna assume thats a actual game trailer date not game release. just my speculation based off of essentially nothing though
No it hasn’t….and it’s still gonna be a fun game but people love bitching about basic shit like mobile compatibility and silly stuff like micro-transactions which is in every online game now and completely optional….i really don’t understand why people complain about that as if we don’t live in a society where major companies are economically competing with one another….its like people complaining that the sky is blue…some things will never change
@@griimzee they already promised that the game will not be pay to win, nor will it have loot boxes. it also wont have any areas locked behind a paywall. Plus, OBVIOUSLY the hype is gonna die down. theyre not marketing the game yet. the marketing will begin when the game is near finished.
@@ImOmerAhmed It’s almost as if people want these games to be bad so they can complain more….there is absolutely no hope or faith in these companies to the point to where if a game is actually good it won’t get the recognition it deserves because of haters and internet critics who never actually game like that…and from what I’ve seen the game really doesn’t have that much hype unless your a huge skate fan but regardless people will buy the game and play it like crazy because Skate is the best skateboarding franchise in the industry so the dude that said “that hype has gone down” is an idiot who needs to understand what things are before he gives up all hope and starts trashing Skate 4 or any game that is yet to release
I don't think this is the direction most players wanted them to take the game. FTP, all platforms including mobile, seasons, etc. just means that they will have to make the game light and shallow. If there is a story, it will be similar to how fortnite tries to have one. I wish they would just make a full game with a story, and the ability to fuck around and do whatever you want in-between, like in skate 3. The idea of a deeper story about rebelling against M Corp could have been something special. This game will probably be disappointing, aside from the skating mechanics
all of those mega skate spots are probably user made areas. i mean M-Corp unskate-ed the city, the whole story revolves around the players changing the city
Has GTA 6 been in development for 4 years whilst still establishing and hiring a team to work on it during this period? They aren’t doing too bad at all, considering it’s developed from the ground up on a new engine. This game still looks shit but I’m hopeful looking at the skate. (2007) development builds.
Can they just release the fucking game? We are all getting older we cant wait forever I was 10 when skate 3 came out im nearly 24 its been 4 years of this teasing shit
Look at the skate. (2007) development videos, it might fill you with more hope. There is something uncanny about the way the physics and animations currently look, and I’m hoping that’ll eventually be corrected.
