Bushings definitely the normal term most places, but your actual name on the Indy product is Cushions, so if you've never heard of it you should find a local skate shop and go check the bushings 🙂 *or NHS Fun Factory website

Things that can make your 🛹 go squint: 🍓 Bushings 🍎Pivot cups 🍉 Uneveningly worn wheels 🍇 Uneveningly dirty bearings Having a wheel(s) that is slightly bigger than the other will cause the board to go squint. Same if a bearing is dirtier than the rest. ________ The cars are moving upwards ^ in these examples Visual Example 1(a): 0==o | | 0==0 ^That car will have dependency on upper right wheel causing it to turn clockwise.🕛🕐🕑🕒 __________________ Visual Example 1(b): o==0 | | 0==0 ^Car 1b will have a dependency on the upper left corner causing it to turn anti-clockwise🕛🕚🕙🕘 __________________________ SOLUTION: To avoid all above issues: Switching your wheels and trucks around to ensure equal and even ware on all components.

The conical bushings never make it to local shops by me. Also if possible I'd like for NHS to make the stock bushings that come with Indy trucks to be medium hard from the factory. For us heavier novice riders I feel 90A bushings are just too soft. Also I can attest to the Indy bushings fitting other trucks. I tried out a pair of Grind King trucks the Indy 96A bushings made them skateable to me.

the yellow bushings are 96A not 98. I have the 96A currently, they were too hard for me in the beginning (170 pounds), but after a few days felt better and now after 4 months are pretty much perfect. will try the 94A next time. would be interesting to have the 96A as double cone bushings.

ah yes the stage X 159s have a 94a bottom conical and a 92a top, both 94a are too hard/blast-wobble off hip/transfers, both 92a eventually get too soft deep into ownership/break in. But a 94a bottom, and 92a top bushing is a nice balance of response/hard lean/speed control. Harder bottom=lean~powerslide coefficient, Slightly softer(med hard 92a) top bushing Helps you lean over and rebound back more ideally than a harder 94a top bushing that has the board way to chattery/reboundy on high speeds/transitions. If i were to try aces...id probably run a hard bushing set and mix up their bushing/harnesses. Out of the box...aces have a harder top bushing and slightly softer bottom. So theyre the reverse of what i expect from my indys...smoother/turn inintiate softer etc....with a quicker/center rebound from the harder top bushing. I also have prototype indy pivot cups in the stage X they feel really dialed in. I also really like to turn with 1 foot or put my foot over the back bolts and do that classic indy hard lean/turn while my front foot is just there for balance. Softer bushings have me getting tossed if i land trasnfers too nose heavy i usualy bite/topside more with softer bushings...bc i do slashers a lot too, or slash into grinds a lot.

ever since they started selling them with the flat washers XD now that you dont have to worry about your nut breaking that plastic inner core. Bones wtih no bottom washer and no top but that one in the box...MMM so ideal up until the core separates from the urethane....then they get loosy goosy....which is why i like the hards bc when they "break" or blow out they still feel skateable, IMO bones do that post 1m or 1m-3m window break to break in....where they either RIP or "mature" into a softer bushing from new...as mids grow looser and hards begin to feel like brand new meds. I Been on conicals for a while with indys bc i just couldnt justify buying multiple bones bushings a year....but had to get bones hards for some thunders that were biting like a pitbull, and now theyre in some kader 6.1s bc the stock bushings on the kader 6.1s are nothing near the stock/yellow venture 6.1 bushings, just figured i would see what ventures felt like with bones before i got a DLX kit. Pretty interesting compared to stock on ventures. Though ive eaten a bit of shit bc of it still fun to fiddle around and see what perks/failures lead to each setup.

Except for the fact that if a set of trucks are brand new and your board turns crooked it's most likely the drilled holes on the board that are off not new trucks. This has been my experience what I've noticed for many years now. Some board holes are straighter than others it's always a crapshoot for sure I've even tested this empirically with the same set of trucks and different decks....

with indies the hanger shifts sideways because the placement hole for the top bushing is wider than the top bushing...

@@barrelparty i mean the placement hole of the hanger, where you put the top bushing onto. In my recent indies this placement area is wider than the top bushing resulting in the hanger shiftig sideways after bassically every trick, the baord rolling sideways, remarkably. @@trupiil i don't know maybe it's an issue with newer indys from china.i have no idea .all of my indys have been pretty solid but they're all a few years old and usa made .Otherwise don't kno what to think on that ,i haven't seen what you describe about how the hangers move like that. With that said hope my new indys that are coming in the mail don't do that what a predicament it will be with crabby new indys hopefully not
@trupiil
@trupiil 4 года назад
@@barrelparty just check if the top bushing sits flush and tightly in the round flat place of the hanger. If you have a little space around that bushing to the walls of the hanger the hanger is going to move sideways. I even had worse issue with a previous indy (got it replaced) where the hanger would not even sit flush on the boardside bushing (the bigger one), because the truck was so badly constructed (pivot cup hole too dep, too far away or whatever it was). I checked on my old USA indies and they're fine. They seem inable to have decent quality control in China so far.

@trupiil
@trupiil 4 года назад
@@NHSSkateDirect guys you really need to get some quality control going. Your stock bushings are smaller in height than the individually sold ones in same color. As a result the hanger does not fit on the individually sold ones. The hanger does not fit on the bushing plainly and so shifts sideways in large margin, it's a mess. Apart from the hardness difference. One more thing, the top bushing (both the stock ones and the aftermarket ones) is in diameter smaller than the placement hole in the hanger, so the hanger constantly shifts sideways (like after every second trick and for sure every crooked grind), resulting in the board rolling sideways remarkably while level. I constantly have to readjust the hanger to the middle because it's shifted sideways. It's frustrating and for the price you take for this truck it's really annoying. What is your quality control doing?

Many different factors. Overall size and foot size are good to keep in mind if you're not sure. Sometimes skaters with small feet ride big boards and vice versa. If you're not sure try riding or standing on some different size decks to feel what is comfortable for you.

Is the cushion spilling out over the washer anywhere? That can happen if you over tighten them when they're new and soft. I'd suggest riding them a bit looser at first to break in. There's a slight chance the deck holes aren't drilled straight but that is very rare.

@@NHSSkateDirect I bought a new set of trucks indie 144 hollow standard baseplate and now the hole/placement in the hanger for the top bushing fits the bushing, no more shifting hangers sideways and no issues. You had quality problems, I don't know if it is due to moving to china or corona or whatever, but I had a pair of trucks that was messed up by production. If I find my receipt I am going to send them in to the distributor. By the way the bushing seize difference was the stock ones were smaller than the individually sold ones. Quality control was lacking tehre as well, it messes up the fit of the hanger and creates issues. I skate for 30 years and will stay with indies, but the quality needs to be back.

@@BaileyFoxFilm I have stage X 159s ive used 92a conicals on and 94a conicals...eventually landed on a 94a bottom, and 92a top. But i live locally to so-cal skateshop and they had a bag of "prototype" indy pivot cups that the gave me bc they knew i was trying to avoid riding stage XI highs for MIC and Geometry changes. I mean 50+$ for trucks +bushings or bones bushings is a pretty penny. When i hunted down a lot of liquidated Stage X in my day, and grinded through all the axles of my 139-149s. I have no issues though with my 159 stage x on conicals, or my 144 XI mids with 92a conicals. ALSO i ride harder bushings bc i like barely having my nut on like flush if not even less if it manages to keep my hanger on. I think this HELPS a lot with keeping the trucks more dialed in. Same to running the mids with their cap/nut design. Id definitely recommend trying harder/conicals and a lighter load on the nut/tightness; as well as definitely getting fresh pivot cups, The new cup had the truck/yoke sitting more upright...vs slouched with the hanger leaning into the kingpin....which is how i think i snapped a few Stage 9pins....bc of that older pivot cup/damaged pivot cups.
