I had a 21 zxr20 with the team deck. Great boat! Sold it and bought a Caymas (bad decision). I have now ordered another zxr20 with the updated FXR deck layout. I can't wait to get it!! Just got my build date this week. You are 100% correct... It's a hard package to beat for the price, performance, and features.
Congrats on the new boat! Yeah I wish mine had the FXR deck layout. I may sell mine this fall and get another one. I have thought about basscat or caymas, but unfortunately they kind of price me out a little bit. If I was going to deviate from skeeter I’d have to take a hard look at Phoenix. We just don’t have a close dealer.
@@so.inoutdoors I have not been impressed with the workmanship in my Caymas. Plus, it loves to chine walk at speed. I miss the smooth ride at speed of the skeeter. You have to work to drive the Caymas.
I have a 2021 ZXR20 - the one thing I really, really, REALLY dislike about my boat is the team deck compartment. I didn’t realize how bad of a pain it would be pulling 3700s out when switching baits. And of course Skeeter fixed this issue and went back to single compartment the year after I purchased… I also wish Skeeter would put a cleat or handrail next to the driver / psgr seat to tie off when docking. Doing so would keep the boat from pitching out on the front and back end during windy conditions.
I wish they all did. It would be awesome to remove it when I am fishing alone. I haven’t noticed it being much of a problem, just took some getting used to.
I’m sure Hunter can swim like a fish but making RU-vid videos you have to show the best way of doing things I’m getting my 1st bass boat next week and I’m going with Skeeter ZXR 21 2023 any tips you can sure?
Congrats on the boat! You are gonna love it! The only thing I can tell you is the bow of the boat likes to porpoise around 30mph, if powering through this zone it’s rarely noticed. But I have a lake nearby that has a 35mph speed limit and it’s a bear.! If you can swing it add the hydraulic jack plate, it’s worth every penny.!!! Good luck and tight lines buddy!
I got ZXR and you were right on the porpoising. I will take it out 2 or 3 more times so I can get adjusted to the boat. I’m sure I will need the hydraulic jack. Thank you for the help.
