Ars Magica is absolutely still in print. Currently on its 5th edition.

American fantasy writers with a humour similar to Vance's were Fritz Leiber (Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser) and L. Sprague de Camp (The Reluctant King books) and a smattering of other US writers who were much sillier and slightly later than Vance's generation. You've got me thinking I really ought to reread them. :)

It took me embarrassingly long to get around reading Vance, because the association with D&D, which I detest for curmudgeonic reasons. Turns out his works have rather little to do with the reality of playing D&D.
