It’s refreshing to see a sketchbook that isn’t filled with people. I like your different animals, you do a great likeness. But I think the most interesting sketchbooks are the ones that have people, animals, inanimate objects, scenes, a bit of everything actually. And one where different mediums are used; pencils, coloured pencils, watercolour, gouache, pastels, ink. Variety is the spice of life! I love seeing artists stretch themselves and using subjects and mediums they really struggle with. That is when the most growth happens. 😀
Hey, that frog was cool. Don't make fun of the frog! My last sketchbook was just a small strathmore 100 sheet 5.5 x 8.5. It was good, spiral bound. I do like the non-spiral better. I just got into drawing and can't wait to your next video!!! Thank you
I've loved seeing your art interests/style change over the years I've been watching. I remember the first video I watched of yours and how excited it made me to create more and develop my style. Thanks for going on this journey with me!
i love all your work in this sketch book, so inspirational. i'm actually on my very first sketchbook i started it on the 7th of july and i'm drawing most nights just little doodles of animals, my bg3 characters etc. its such a joy watching other peoples sketchbooks and it really helps me get rid of the old mindset i had years ago that gave me art block for the longest time.
Loving all the messy sketch collections! That's something I really appreciate in your work: the way you make the overlapping 'collections' of sketches and doodles on one page. 😍 As for the CdA pastels, the Neo I feel a lot different from the Neo II! If you're interested in getting the other ones, try to go to a store where you can try them out or get only a couple.
Ohhh okay! When I was editing I was thinking the watercolour ones are probably actually quite different since they must be made of different materials to be able to dissolve in water like that
I love how much your art has developed since the last sketchbook tour!! Your art is always so beautiful to look at even your messy sketches!! Some of my favorite drawings: 2:23 hippo!! 7:50 badjums! 8:36 LOOK AT THOSE SHINY GUYS!! 9:01 I like how quilted this page looks!! 9:17 I like your use of purple in those possums!! 11:47 I love all the LITTLE GUYS AAA THEYRE SO CUTE MWA 💖 and I love the “Do not disturb” 😂 13:54 I love the sketchy outlines around these guys it makes them look like little starbursts of cuteness!! You’re such an inspiration to me I love your style and I love your use of shape language!!
OMG I LOVE YOUR ART SO MUCH ❤❤❤ you inspire me SOOO MUCH !! THANK YOU FOR CREATING !!!! Your art brings me so much joy !! Please keep up the amazing work! You’re an incredible artist 🤍
I hope you know, that your drawings are awesome and I loved that frog you drew!! I like to watch your videos and get inspired. And you shouldn’t worry about what others will think about your art. Because its all beautiful even if you don’t think it looks good. I just wanted to tell you. God Bless you!! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!! And to anyone reading this God Bless you too❤❤!! Bai
This sketchbook tour was a fun and colorful experience with lots of variety! I got excited the moment I saw all the stickers on the cover. Last year, I learned how much I love stickers, and I’m looking forward to learning how to make my own. I’m planning to be a vendor at my very first local market! 🤩 Now that I’ve seen how you use your sketchbook, I’m thinking of bringing my sketchbook to the market to pass the time with. Have you made videos on how to table at a convention/market for the first time, or simply tips on how to table?
Fun tour as always. Last one I finished was the Nina cosford one, not doing thin paper like that again. Currently working in Illo again, definitely my preferred brand given how much I enjoy using my ohuhu alcohol markers.
My last sketchbook was completed a week ago or so. It's handmade w a blue cover and a painted illustration at the front. It was my laziest sketchbook I've ever completed. W mostly only idea sketches and a few studies. But I'll give myself some slack, cuz I was goin through some stuff. What counts is I had fun w it 👍
As an aussie, the wombat page sent me 😂 wombats are so cute, glad you've found them! Fun fact: their butt is so thick and heavy that they sit on things to defend themselves Also grounded is the best!!!! I love burgle
I haven’t finished it yet but I’m nearly done with a Midori blank notebook in B6 slim. The paper is so lovely to draw on though I’ve mostly been using dry media at the moment due to time constraints
hiiii i love your art it so inspiring i hope you do more sketch book tours and i think my favorite thing that you drew were the frogs that just filled up the whole page and the foxes 😊
I love seeing the sketchbook tours! Your art is so lovely, and so inspiring. !! And the last sketchbook I finished was a Midori MD- not a traditional sketchbook brand, but I love it. I just found out they make a 100 percent cotton one, so I ordered that to try with more mediums! I also bought a small royal Talens to try my alcohol markers on, I didn't expect the pages to be so yellow, so we shall see )
I actually like to draw cats a lot and I say that to draw a cat the best thing to think about is their anatomy a bit. They have no collar-bone, have extra vertebrae in their spine, and have looser skin all over their body so you don't have to think about muscle structure as much.
Do you do all this from your imagination? I draw a blank everytime I sit down. Then I see sketchbooks like yours and I feel like I’m just not meant to keep a sketchbook. :(
To be able to draw animals with expressions is absolutely a talent! Only professional artist understand why working on paper that is not white is better! I love all papers but yellow, ivory and cream is of course most of the time a better choice and is the basics of art to know why.
