Thanks for this great tutorial. I’m way too perfectionist and in the past I didn’t know where to start those kind of drawings. So a big thanks from me!
There are some lovely buildings in Maryborough Qld and as a beginner I have been attempting every perfect line. Your suggestions will make it much more enjoyable.
This is so helpful for a beginner Toby. Thanks much for sharing with the sketchers who are just starting. The audio is little weak and gets overdriven by the music - any changes there would be wonderful. Thanks again !!!
Hi there! Thanks for the feedback, you are certainly correct - unfortunately I've deleted the original footage so can't easily redo it 😔 I've changed my audio set up AND the music I use for my newer videos though!
So helpful. One of your best. I couldn't quite have put into words the sort of video I wanted on pen work and loose sketching but this perfectly hit the spot. More of the same please and maybe more of your 10 minute sketches.
You are so welcome! Thanks for the feedback - I'll get some more 10 minute sketches on the go for sure :) I have a few more tips videos like this coming out as well.
This is a really good tutorial, if only I could tell what you’re saying. Very muffled sound and I know there are subtitles but you can’t read them as well as watching the sketch. 😢
You are quite right Christine! You'll be pleased to hear that I've upgraded my microphone 🤠🎤 not that that helps this video! But my newer audio is much much better
I have to say that loose can be very effective but I think wonky perspective, that is where one object's perspective bears little relation to another in the same painting can look jarring unless it is clear that you as the artist are intentionally doing it.
Thanks for the feedback - a definite issue from my editing a few weeks ago. Upcoming videos shouldn't have this problem ☺️ sorry I know it's a bit of a nuisance 😔
