The y-intercept of a polynomial in expanded form, is trivial to find. It's the final constant term. Even if you weren't given the expanded form, you can just plug in x=0, to find the y-intercept, and evaluate it directly. It's the x-intercepts that are challenging to find, for polynomials in general beyond the trivial case of a line.
