Genuinely appreciate the comment! In a world where we're constantly being told to 'return it to the authorized dealer for service', I'm trying to show people that they can take care of stuff on their own. It's worth noting that Ski-Doo is one of the rare companies that provides lots of service information to their customers, and at no additional cost.
Advantage 600 EFI 2-stroke vs my 900 ACE 4-stroke. The ACE 900 oil level does not like laying on its side for extended periods. 600 EFI is also 50 lbs lighter snowmobile. Same HP as 900 ACE in a lighter pkg.
Put another 100kms on it today. Driving slowly, which seems to be its weakness when it comes to cooling, but no dice. It was sitting consistently between 40°C and 50°C no matter if I asked it to climb steep hills, or sit and idle.
@@mop1471 my 2019 Expedition Sport ACE 900 has never run hot. I have ice scratchers but never used them yet. I originally installed ice scratchers for the sliders lube... never had engine over heating issues.
@@bobkimmcdonald6171 I'm at a loss. When I did the 120km trip to measure fuel economy, driving slowly (30-50km/hr), I had to get in the powder whenever possible to keep the temperature down. Even with that, I got overheat warnings 3 times and had to stop to let her cool down. Picked up the ice scratchers to fix the problem, but now it won't get hot at all. And it's much warmer out today than when I had the overheat problems!
@@mop1471 Is it possible you had an air lock in the coolant system and your rolling it on one side then the other "burped the baby" and now its working correctly? Check your coolant level to be sure it is not low in the reservoir. PDI is really just rapid assembly, there is no test run to prove its working correctly. Either way its running cooler as it should..."Good Job". Your in Sudbury & I am 2 hours north of Ottawa on Hwy #17. We have low snow this year.
Don't mess around with those bolts: they hold your suspension in the tunnel: Torque the mounting bolts to spec. The spacers that were included with the ice scratcher kit take the bolt's torque, not the ice scratchers themselves, so the ice scratchers will jiggle a little.
@@larsqaqqaq9970 Assuming you're in Canada, keep an eye on the Canadian Tire sales. Their Mastercraft Maximum torque wrench goes on some pretty major sales! In the meantime, could you borrow one with the correct torque range? Or hang an appropriate weight from the 12" point on a wrench if you must?
