Rubber powered free flight R.O.S. (rise off snow). The skis are laminated by 2 layers of boiled 0.6mm balsa and a 2.0mm middle part.
It is the rubber powered free flight model 'Zephyr'. Designed in 1936 by Abe Bergman. Span 15"/38cm. Plan drawn in 1979 by Al Patterson.

Ok nice, and how do you warp the sticks or did you cut them from a single sheet for the wings and tail surfaces? Because I’m a youngster and wanting some tips. And I can’t wait to see you Golden Eagle iii! And real quickly how do you cover your tissue I just use Eze Dope but yours look really nice and I’ve been wanting to see how to do it

@@thebalsaboy The balsa wood for the skis has been softened in boiling water, then coated with wood glue while still warm and wet and then 'laminated' in the shape shown. After about three days, the mold could be released and the release paper (baking paper) removed.

Sorry Balsa Boy, a video of covering is not planned. I find 'how to do' videos more difficult to make than my flight videos. I'm sure you'll find good videos of it...
