PaaaaisteBoooy !!! Thanks buddy.. I had forgotten a lot about these sleds and how they were put together. It’s definitely a fun little project. It’ll be a great sled for the wife where I’m finished. She wanted something light as the new sleds are just to heavy for her, no matter which one you get. This little fanned will do the trick. Take Care Buddy.. Won’t be long now..❄❄
your videos are great! My son and I are getting his 09 MXZ-X 550F ready for the season and you have been such a huge help! Its not exactly like your but pretty close! Thanks so much
Hey Chris, Thanks for stopping by the channel to check out the videos. I’m glad the videos will be of some help.. I’ll be installing an electric start kit on it this fall. If you have any question on your ‘09 let me know and I’ll try to help. Take Care 👍🏼
Hey Andrew, Thanks for stopping by the channel to check out the project. Yes the sled is in pretty good shape for the year. It needed some TLC but it’s coming along great. 👍🏼 Next video I install Tunnel Protectors so I can put some studs in it before the trails open. 😁 Take Care
That’s deja vu for me! I did all that work on the 380 to stud it. Unbelievable what has to come off! I should have installed electric start when I did that job. That’s going to be a fun sled!
I agree, The things that needed to be removed is crazy. Electric start is getting really hard to find on these older sleds and with the supply shortages & everywhere says out of stock or discontinued. Did you get your tires on Monday?
Thanks Buddy.. She’s pretty excited about it actually. I’ll probably take the ole 5 fitty for the first ride this season once we get snow to give it the initial shake down run.
Great Vid! It helped speed thing up a lot on my 04’ Skidantic 550! also, I had good luck with a think layer of RTV high temp on my intake boots to combat the “dry rot” (broke boy method). Keep of the good work!
Hey J, Thanks for stopping to watch the video.. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get those boots sealed up 😉 I have an electric starter kit ordered for the ole RUFF REV and it’s due in May. I imagine the Skandic already has Electric start?? Take Care 🤙🏼
@@SometimeIsNow My Skidantic does not (it’s a skidantic “Sport”, another broke boy option haha). I’ll have to look into a starter kit. I didn’t realize those were available.
Hey Jimi, Thanks for stopping by to check out the series.. The 550f is a great sled.. Make sure you look over the carb boots for cracks, you definitely don’t want a lean burn down.. I go over everything in the series of videos 👍🏼 Take Care
Thanks Jeff, More videos coming. Now I’m in the repair phase of the Project. Sadly all our snow had melted but we got a dusting last night but even that is gone now being 41 degrees today. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼❄
Thanks for stopping to watch the video. Sorry, But I haven’t had to change out the brake pads on this sled so I don’t have a video on this yet. Take Care
Hey Tom, The lift is an Extreme Max.
