The Spring melt-off has begun. I was expecting to have a day of slush bump skiing on the old Park West trails at Canyons; however, the conditions were much softer and the bumps were much less defined than i was expecting. 10 years ago these trails would have been chiseled from a season of hot-shots ripping zippers, but today the slopes resembled a lumpy soft serve ice cream. It seems that times and skiing have changed. I probably have to go back to Vermont in order to experience a spring bumpalooza. Here in Utah, most people forgo the end of the season and go to Moab and/or Zion in April.
