Skiing Colorado's The Citadel // Learn From My Mistake

In todays adventure I am skiing the The Citadel also known as Snoopy . This is a rugged Colorado peak sits at 13,294ft on the Continental Divide on the north side of the I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel.
I had been eyeing this line earlier in the year and got an early start to ski this great looking line, however, due to impatience on the summit had very icy and hard conditions on the Citadel proper decent. I tried to make up for it with some corn turns down lower but will always wonder what could have been with another hour of patience.

What a wonderful video! Thank you (or maybe not) for making me miss the skiing season. I don't normally comment on videos, but this is authentic and of amazing quality. I would love to see more bc content.

Thank you so much that means a lot and I hope you can vicariously get just the right amount of skiing stoke without missing it too much. I have some more ski lines planned and with snowpack will manage a couple more skiing adventures before full time summer mode. Thanks for watching

Great video! I’m really curious how those skis did for you in those not so ideal conditions. I’m looking for a ski that can as solid as possible on conditions that aren’t perfect.

Thanks for watching and I got the Navis Freebird due to hearing how well it did in not perfect conditions and how trustworthy it felt. After 1.5 years riding them almost exclusively have found they lived up to the hype and they have been a great single ski quiver for myself in Colorado. The more classic camber profile has been great in steeper terrain and I found these the most solid feeling backcountry designed ski I've used across various conditions. The cons I've noticed is that the tail stability is lacking for landing small jumps/cliffs and that for really deep snow a bit more rocker and width would be nice. Overall they have been a great ski for me and although not the lightest seem to have struck a great balance for performance vs. weight. Best of luck in your ski search!
