Dude woah, just saw your video on my feed and holy crap, I remember your steep clips of the week wayyyy back when you had like 20k subs. I haven’t seen your videos at all since then, what the hell happened? I always loved your videos back then, you’ve got such a great personality and you 100% deserve all the success that you’ve enjoyed. Proud of you homeslice O7
in my honest opinion, x games big air is becoming stale and boring. i mean i get it, the new style round is cool, but still, no one is sending impressive and different grabs, it's all the same rotation and spin to win type stuff. we don't see octograbs, new screaming seamen grabs, grabs like dub nose or dub blunt. like where is it. it just feels the same every year. i just want to see something new and not another 21. i want to see impressive and different grabs!
Pretty much the same in skateboarding rn (although contest skating has always been pretty wack). Dudes are mostly just flipping n spinning like ballerinas on crack.
watching X-games just makes me want to get good at park skiing or slopestyle (idk the difference tbh) and Im just learing 360's and grabs, should I try a backflip if I find a good spot with alot of powder?
"Slopestyle" is just a contest of runs through a park. Backflips are honestly the easiest rotation, if scary to learn. I recommend getting comfy with gainers on a diving board until it feels slow and you're spotting your "landing" to stomp your feet in.
My god I didn't see that kicker tap by Dani... Must be one of tje sickest things I've seen but It's hard to notice and will probably never score too well at Xgames... Big spins always seem to win at X in recent years.
the same reason why henrik despite being the first do switch and forward 16 stopped doing it because it wasn't stylish. Alex would rather do more stylistic runs and dani bacher doing smaller rotations and still getting third is proof that it can work
Alex won gold in 2022 with his 2160 and now I don’t think he wants to win like that again. “Been there, done that” I guess haha. He’s progressing other tricks w more style
@@E123poptart4metrue but I also think that it was because he received a lot of criticism for his spin to win performance in 22 and so he changed approach
steep steep is Canadian, from my hometown of Edmonton Alberta - He's referring to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Bar in downtown Edmonton. the lore goes deep
Bro honestly why aren't you casting these events in the booth? I feel you have a super deep understanding of the sport. Xgames for sure needs to recognize.
Man the language for ski jump tricks is just stupid. Triple cork dub skiffy ten half shuffle knap drift hucker switch flip tang whap jip swiss bring back mack axis pivot ding whack flip flap.
FYI, if you're interested in growing your career I think you should study up on how to pronounce names you are currently uncomfortable with. I don't think many outlets will be interested in you until you put in the time to be able to pronounce the athletes' names. Saying "sorry if I mangle your name" doesn't cut it in the big time.
A halls face just irritates me. Its just a smug look like, he thinking, " These bums cant compete with me". Like a snob or something. I domt know why, but its annoying.
Ii dont try to keep up with the spins or truck names if they pass 720 before they crest half the flat.. i just take the commentators word for it. And the rail jams, its impressive but i dont care to watch.. its word salad at this point
Haha not the right context since these men are throwing roations you couldn’t dream of pulling on your office chair, but that’s a vile insult im going to take that for another time hahaha
