@@riseandalpine Ya all good, saw that when I watched it. Its only like a 50 hours drive...I do it every April when I come to whistler for 5 weeks. I follow your videos to see how things are filling in as the season advances. My girlfriend wants to get some hot sauce next time were in town. Happy skiing!
We drive out in our pickup and rent an AirBnB for the month and ski everyday. We work at Sommet St-Sauveur all winter then come for the april goods... Weve been doing it years. Love the spring vibe pow up top, soft at the bottom.
Nice, i was out in Sicamous this weekend, skied up to Mara Mountain Lookout. Vis was trash but hey, i was on skis and i didn't even core shot! Better than cypress was a couple weeks ago Webcams tonight at whistler are showing some snow so 🤞 it sticks around this time
I love how you're always making the most of the weekends! I've never even thought about skiing in Sicamous. Apparently the Icefields Parkway is skiing okay right now. Hoping to get some sea to sky stuff going soon, spending way too much money on gas!

(I was busy telling you you had missed a turn when you checked in from Canmore...until you explained that you can't sleep in Banff National Park. I seem to recall Norquay being a little steeper than that.)
Sorry to crash your party buddy but the first chair in Canada was actually at Mont st-Sauveur Quebec on Thursday November 2 at 11h AM.I was probably on the 6th or seventh chair… not sure it would’ve been worth the drive across the country tough 😅
I hate to be a spoiler but Mont Saint Sauveur in the Laurentians opened on Thursday, November 2 at 11AM, one full day before your experience. But they didn't have a buck showing up. Great video and I’m a new subscriber!

Almost time to dig out the boards and put my motorcycles (2007 Electra Glide Classic, and my 2016 BMW S1000XR) away. I have a seniors seasons pass at Whistler this year, I can't wait.
@riseandalpine Nope, the nice thing about having skiing and motorcycling as my main "happy place in life" is they don't conflict. 5 months of skiing, 7 months of motorcycling. I can't wait for snow. After skiing Mt. Washington, for the last 20 years, and usually a 10 day Edge card at Whistler, I went big and got a Whistler seasons pass this year.

FYI Lake Louise opened 15minutes before Norquay, so the Drifters Snowbikes boys actually got Canadas first chair!!! And no that Quebec resort doesn't count if they are not actually open yet 🙂
You guys were standing around doing shots at 8:45 when we were loading FIRST CHAIR IN CANADA at Louise! I think we were going through that trucker line up just past Field at the same time too

False! Oh, so very false. First chairlift in Canada was at Red Mountain Gold Mine. Sorry, but the info is out there. The museum, which has a wing dedicated to Nancy Green, has Canada's first chairlift in the museum. They had a massive debate with a mountain in switzerland, but it was discovered that both countries had discovered and invented the chairlift independently. I used to live across from the museum. Red mointain opened in the 1890's for skiing, as it was originally one of North Americas biggest gold mines. They uses the tow lines used to cart the massive metal bins to tow people up. After 60 years of running, it "officially opened" in 1947. The first "official chairlift" opened at Mount Tremblant in 1938, but was not the first. So, right there your report is false. Red Mountain wasnt considered a ski hill until 1947, but had been using a chairlift system for nearly 50 years, as it wasnt for almost a decade after the cart system was converted before they raised the line and attached chairs. May not have been an official ski hill, but it doesnt take away the facts of who had it first. Some more history is needed for your video. Sorry Some of this history you WONT find on the internet. Like how Nancy Green says she is from the USA. There is a lake named after her in Rossland BC, where they have her first pair of skis as a child. She grew up in Rossland BC, but has run from that ever since the Salt Lake City Olympics. Go to the museum in Rossland and youll find a "goldmine" of news clippings, video, poctures, and actual physical equipment that clears both your errors AND proves Nancy Green is a pathological liar. Lol "The Red Chair Western Canadas First Chair Lift" Straight from "Rossland Museum & Discovery". Other resorts had t-bar systems.
