Just because they are a christian band, does not mean all the songs need to be interpreted that way. I'm not christian, but I respect christians and their beliefs. I personally interpret this osn as the girl being suicidal, looking to her friend for guidance an support. I can kind of relate to this song, being the girl. Ans my mriend as the other. That's just my perspective, though.

amazing song. "you come to me with scars on your wrist you tell me this will be the last night feeling like this" my ex told me to listen to this song. he said it summed me up all too well, told me maybe it would help and it did. i listen to it all the time.

I went on a retreat a few weekends ago, and this girl played this song after sharing a really depressing story that had happened to her, and I couldn't help but cry. This song is amazing. :)

I love this song somuch it makes me cry cuz I have a friend that actually goes through this. Lately I have been having a hard time with God cuz I just get away from him sometimes and do bad things but when I'm with him it is so amazing When He is with you talking to you It just feels like it is you and Him talking like a friend or a dad.. Its so cool because even though he is a King he is also a friend to help you go through all the pain and all you need is faith and trust in Him! ILY..Jesus!!!

Really this song and most of Skillet's songs can be looked at in two different ways. One way to look at them is the lead singer is God. The second way is that he's just a guy singing to a girl. This music is emotional, yes, but it's not "emo" as you high school kids use it. Most of you use it as a deragortory term. You just have some growing up to do. Stop labeling and grow up.

I love this song and, honestly, could care less if it was about cutting or not. It speaks to people. Some people cut, and if they do it then they need help because it's a cry for help or attention- not that it matters, sometimes it's hard to tell people what's going on so they take it out on themselves. I love this song cause it shows that, sometimes, you can get someone to help.

hey, thanks for sticking for us, Daqo. i was a cutter and still am. i hide it in real life because i'm afraid of people thinking and feeling bad for me. my reason for cutting is just to feel pain to know that i'm alive because i'm mainly numb. so, yea. your words mean alot to me and probably alot of other people who read it.

Skillets a Christian rock band. The song is about a girl who tried committing suicide once, and is about to do it again. God is reassuring her it will be okay. It's kinda strange as suiciders are suppose to go to hell in Christianity. But, if the girl survived once, than she's cutting wrong, and is only pleading for attention. Hence, God's reassurance that she's never really alone, and doesn't have to commit suicide. Despite the message, Skillet drives a good beat with the song.
