Skimboarding in to Waves at Malibu! 

Blair Conklin smoothest, fastest, quickest, most creative , skimcrazy cat ever. Many who’ve seen him here on the East Coast know his skills know no bounds. Very good dude.

Lolololololol I'm so glad to see this!!! I was pissn the longboarders off doing this in the late 70's on my "bon aire" skimmer lololol.i git s vic skimmer in the early 80's and passed the lonbiarders off then to lololol. I love this I love this .

We started skimming there mid 80s. They were some of the longest rides we ever had. Also did paddle in on skims then. Surfing was pretty vanilla then so going down the line on a skim then spinning 360s out in the break definitely caused confused stares.

These videos make me nostalgic for the simpler times on the youtubes. 🤙

Hey Blair, the painfully demoralizing spell of shitty surf down here in CR this season has me in a state - the surf's been crappier than normal mate, and I'm over it. And yet, after not even 5 minutes of watching this video, I'm quite literally cheering, then laughing out loud...I watch you guys get a couple nice little sliders in the shore slop, and then hey - what's that I see pumping through outside?...it's Blair, just owning it, all the way to the sand and a step-off! I loved it - it totally made my day...I grew up in Malibu just a few miles north of the pier, "back in the day" if you will, and I can only imagine the confusion experienced by some of those old dudes as they saw what happened...I hope you got a standing ovation brah!!! That intro music as you were in Laguna had some “Archie’s” tone to it. Grew up in Malibu on the weekends and Summers some forty/fifty plus years ago. Not the place I remember. Moved into Paradise Cove is 82’ after high school when making $45 a day six days a week was enough to rent a little single wide trailer there. Space #28.

I’m trying my hardest to learn how to skim board and I just loveee this channel. A lot of your tips help but getting it down is hard. I have a good ol zap board but I really want a exile board like that. It looks sooo nice and smooth. I want to keep committing to learning but being able to go to the beach is hard.
