My hyperpigmentation treatment is just glycolic toner and serum and my moisturizer is castor oil. After a month my face glowing back to normal.

Both takes time for actual results at least more than a month, but should be applied daily with sunscreen if going out. Expect purging from retinol/retinoid (bumps or worst case scenario acne rosacea or much worst with pus), and sting from azelaic (would go away after 15 mins before applying light ceramide based moisturizer.

I've been doing this for a couple of months it works on my melanin skin over 40, if you can't tolerate tretinoin opt for retinaldehyde instead and use her sandwich method to prevent irritation from tretinoin it works

How about glycolic acid? Cerave’s 5% GA serum at bedtime? Leave on over night. I’ve heard I can use the AHA/GA with retinoids if it doesn’t cause irr/infl/burn/red etc. Is this true? Also, can I use both under my eyes as long as it doesn’t cause irr/etc.?

i wouldn’t cuz benzoyl peroxide can cancel out retinol- but you can use benzoyl peroxide with azelaic acid

Actually you can but .....idk about using the Bp and retinol as two separate products(cuz then it's difficult to understand whether it could cause purging or not for a normal person) I have a spot treatment cream which has both BP AND retinol......so it works just fine

One derm I've seen says you put your retinoid on first and then the azelaic acid. The retinoid helps the azelaic absorb better. Or you can use your azelaic in the morning. One derm I follow with sensitive skin applies her azelaic acid after her vit c.
