Dr. Dray, I so admire how hardcore legit you stay to your craft and authenticity of your reviews by sticking around to the end in using up products you're not even thrilled about. 😊
I didn't know BullFrog QuickGel was still around--I never see it anymore, but long before many western sunscreens started getting better, this was my go-to. The texture was good, the scent didn't bother me, and wow it was the best for being in the water. Thank you for letting us know it still exists!
Love all the Prequel products, and the price points (tyvm Dr Sam), except the sunscreen, which unfortunately pills under makeup. I gave that to my Huz and he really likes and will wear it. As always, your reviews are the holy grail. So smart, so authentic, so adorable.
CVS peeps: $10 reward on $20 for aquaphor -eucerin-copper tone products. It’s just one deal, all 3 apply. Went to order gel sunscreen & wanted to share the deal - kinda perfect now&later combo for us who are still getting snow!
@@DrDrayzday yes! As a child, I hated the thick texture of a zinc based sunscreen and hated the smell of an organic-based sunscreen. I don’t really mind either now! Bullfrog was pleasant to apply, and it never gave me little bumps on my skin - I had very sensitive skin as a child. I guess I still do. I also have IBD-UC, and we commonly get weird skin issues and rashes.
The Bullfrog sunscreen is such an OG, it’s the only thing that would not only prevent sunburn but also keep me from tanning! My only complaint is that it likes to pill, especially after reapplication/multiple layers.
I love Prequel Gleanser. It is great at cleansing even the makeup. I also use the moisturizer. I want to try the barrier therapy lotion. I also use their Lucent C vitamin C. No complaints. Thanks for doing this video.
There seems to be a lot happening with skinceuticals. Can you please do an updated review of some of their products and possibly some worthwhile dupes? Thank you.
Wow the bullfrog sunscreen is so cool ❤Doctor Andrea. Amazing i also like the cleanser in a gel form because the sensory experience is on a another level 😊. Have a wonderful day Doctor Andrea.
Bullfrog was the sunscreen I used back in the day when I played beach volleyball...it worked great! It was in the late 1990s. It dried my face out but I was not burned, in combination with a visor and sunglasses, I don't have sun damage all these years later.
Happy April! I’ve seen the Bullfrog brand sunscreen for years, but never tried it. That’s about to change. Thanks for the review and the recommendation!
As someone who likes hydrating, slippy products but a natural/matte finish - buffing in your lotion, with a brush & working LIGHTLY - after it has set a minute can reduce the shine quickly. Even if it will absorb within 10 mins, I hate my shiny face & can’t do makeup til I have a normal texture.
I have been using the Aveeno Calm & Restore Exfoliator twice a week with no irritation. With my atopic dermatitis, I wanted something gentle, and this works very well.
For the time being, check master esty Penn Smith Skincare. She's got several videos including an interview with the creators (who also do a Q/A from her followers) on her channel. But think back to any of Dr Dray's videos on peptides.
Hi Jackie! Happy Monday!! How are you? I hope you're well and that you had a nice day. Hopefully you aren't getting any bad storms. It was cloudy and chilly with a shower of rain this morning. More rain coming tomorrow and Wednesday. We had an adorable yorkshire terrier puppy in today. He weighed 2 lbs and his name was Teddy. And a bullmastiff pup but he weighed more than 2 lbs. Lol! His name was Dioge. Only one kitty named Fluffy to get his thyroid levels checked. It is the perfect evening to get cozy and have tea with my dear, sweet friend. The electric blanket is on, the kitties are waiting and I'm ready to relax. How about you? Let's enjoy our tea together and be thankful for all of the blessings in our lives. I hope you have a beautiful evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, joy and many blessings to you always. 💖🙏💖🕊💖☕🐈☕🐈💖🌷🍬🍃
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Monday😀n what a Wonderful Vid…. thanks n This is Gonna b so Good🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜….
Bullfrog's Quick Gel still exists!! I'm going to look for it, I haven't seen it in any stores near me recently. Is it safe to use on the face? Also, do you think the purple Isntree sunscreen might look even bluer on people with darker/more golden skin tones?
I bought the prequel gleanser for my rosacea but I think I have to return it 😢 my skin just feels super dry after using it. I guess I have to stick to my Avene. I was excited to try the prequel brand since it seems like a good amount of product for the prices.
Really? Bummer! I've found it to be the exact opposite. My skin is SUPER moisturized and I use it on my whole body. I guess we're all different though.
Same thing happened to me, I also developed some irritation. Not sure what ingredient could be causing it but it even happened when I used it on my body. 🤷♀️
I like the Prequel ointment but the barrier moisturizer (the one in a bit blue tube) is simply not moisturizing enough for me. I have to apply a much thicker moisturizer to follow up. It almost does nothing for my dry hands. Or my face.
@@itchysheets1222lol I had the same exact thought. I’m 99.99% sure it’s not onion scented but since that amazing toner that smells like hot dog water exists, I too must ask.
hii dr dray, could you make a video on under eye fillers. there are a lot of different opinions on this topic and id love to know your opinions about it
Late last year went to insfree shop in Australia to buy their sunscreen and the told me not allowed to sell it due to our governments standards for Australia. So I am very wary buying Korean sunscreen! Just have to stick with the Aussie ones!
I bought the Bull Frog sunscreen. It definetely stays on you. You need to exfoliate like crazy to take it off. There were several downsides to this product though. It pilled so easily. If you do not want it to pill, you need to use a ton and not rub it in very much. But when you apply a lot when it gets wet you can see the product. It turns white. I will not be purchasing it again. It is not great for those reasons.
Dr Dray, what are your thoughts on dermatologists who only do virtual visits? I’ve never seen her in person and I don’t feel like she can really tell what’s happening on my skin through the camera.
I'm pretty sure she's got a video on this but I know for sure Dr. Jenny Liu has one from not long ago, dermatologists answer sunscreen questions. And of course, there's always Lab Muffin.
What is a good body sunscreen that won’t sting eyes? I know everyone’s tolerance is different, but a good consensus would nice. My brother used Bullfrog back in the 90s and he ended up with a severe sunburn so we stopped using it.
On your next Target run, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has a skincare line called Papatui at a reasonable price point. Some of the items are unscented including the tattoo stick and tattoo balm.
Hi dr dray what skin brightening product can be incorporated in routine if using azelaic acid 20% everyother day for acne pih and acne scars, it does help with pih but not the overall dullness of skin, although using haruharu chemical sunscreen and aveeno oat gel moisturizer
Hi Doc. According to the documentary “Fin” squalene is shark liver oil. Is this true? I’ve been staying away from anything with this ingredient since watching. Thank you
I'd check some of Dr Dray's vlog from the past few months. She's got a couple doing a full face with merit beauty products. Though I have heard some grumblings from others about their customer service.
