I’m a cowboy boot designer. Wear them the way you want but , traditionally the shaft was worn to cover the pant leg so cows can’t hook ya . ( take their horn an hook your denim pants an snap your leg ) usually worn with leather chaps an spur pads .
So the shaft is basically meant to protect your leg, so it likely tends to be hard leather to pierce while the fact that it's a high shaft boot just stops getting hooked from below when they raise their heads? The versatility of them is really cool since you could do that while working, then put jeans over them while hiking to avoid ticks, or to make them look more formal (though not dress shoe formality, of course). I've been considering getting myself a pair, though I'll save up for a good ~$150-$200 set, since that's where most boots start being resolable, I'd presume?

@@CrazyForCountryMusic you just have to look for what compliments your body, it's not so difficult considering there's thousands of brands who offer bootcut jeans. It's just laziness from people who "can't pull them off" and their excuse to not wear them and wear skinny jeans instead which looks fugly with cowboy boots
im a wrangler guy - but if we’re keeping real og mexican and american cowboys wore skinny pants so they didnt get caught on shit - that being said i like my ball space😂
I Prefer the wide shaft😂 they are all garbage though ...or atleast anything you can purchase in the hard working human world . I have been looking for a pair that last longer than 3 months .
I have to wear tapered jeans, because my upper legs are really big from being in the Army, which aren’t skinny jeans, but the leg opening at the bottom do tend to be smaller. I find that once the boots break-in it becomes easier to get them in a narrower leg opening.
I work in construction. Lately lot of new subdivisions where it gets incredibly muddy when it rains. I were a western style work boot and when it’s that muddy and I’m all up in it I always tuck my jeans into my boots that’s the way my granddaddy wore his in the fields and that’s how I do as well. Anytime else boot cut wranglers exclusively. 🍻👍🏻
This is America! The beauty of this place is that you can do anything you want to that doesn't infringe on the rights of others! If someone wants to wear Cowboy Boots with skinny jeans, I say let 'em!
What I do is cut off the tops of some good crew socks, maybe 2" or so, and pull those sock rings up my leg before I put my boots on. Then you can pull those sock rings down over the boot shaft a bit, and let them cinch it up tighter to your calf and not flop around in your pants as you walk. Then if you need to pull your boots off, you aren't messing around un-tying ropes and cutting off zip ties like a weirdo. No one will even know they're up there around your other sock. Put em back when you pull your boots back on.
Is that a chisos brand shirt jacket or is that a leather patch over a Carhartt shirt jacket? I ask because I think I have that Carhartt jacket but that leather chisos patch looks REALLY sharp! (If ya’ll aren’t making those then you should haha)
Wow you said it a lot nicer than I would have. Skinny jeans and cowboy boots do not match on a guy. It is honestly despicable looking to me but that’s just my opinion.
@@Chisos they told us we couldn't wear jeans for a while at the job so I got a bunch of them wrangler wranchers lol man ... Them things drove the ladies crazy and my boss said I would be the only person he done ever known to get boot cut slacks but all I have is boots lol
Could I get a thought on this. Not bashing. Isn’t a cowboy boot pretty much a dress shoe cause it’s tightish to the foot and all the rest is useless? So I guess I’m asking what’s the point? In your own thoughts. I gotta tie my boots. 😁
The issue for some is the shat opening being too large! That's why we suggest to bind the shaft to help hide it. Cowboy boots shafts are traditionally taller to help protect from brush and snakes! - Allison
Who sells Jackboots without the bizzar over the top designs. Just something simple and professional looking for you can wear your boots over your trousers instead of under.
Skinny in the thighs is actually preferred as folds in the pants make for hot spots on horseback. But yeah, skinny around the opening just don't work with cowboy boots 😂
Cowboy boots and jeans in general screams late 20th century and modern 21st century and Hollywood. Be a real cowboy wear wool trousers or cotton everyday pants with chaps and boots specifically stovepipe. Maybe you can wear stovepipe Boots that men wore in the 19th century and wear them over the slimmer pants might help with the stranglers problem
Cowboy Boots have only been around since the late 1800's! People have been wearing them with jeans almost as long as good old fashioned wool or cotton trousers!
I wear the same socks with my work boots, cowboy boots, twisted x shoes, and regular shoes. If you gotta ask that question, you shouldn't be trying to wear cowboy boots.
Howdy! We use different socks here at the shop. I personally use socks that I wear with every shoe type since it's so hot here! There are a lot of people that use a thicker boot sock or a cushioned sock! It really depends on what's comfortable for you. Socks will impact fit though! Haha modern jeans😂😂😂 . Modern Jeans you will blow the ass out of out those in 3 seconds Actually working .... Behind The drilling rig we just strickly use underwear or go naked 😂 so our jeans dont get dirty and then you dont get oil or gas on them .
