The dog was just a normal dog and the deer had some kind of syndrome that causes a malformation in the neck or spine. Please stop calling everything unordinary skinwalkers.
There can be some theories for this, most deer can get this from genetic issues, or the new dubbed "zombie" virus going around, mainly affecting dear, broken neck, or it MAY be a skinwalker due to the fact that usually skinwalkers dislocate their animal/human forms body parts.
The deer actually has Chronic Wasting Disease which is a very real disease and honestly far scarier than an unverified monster tale, in my opinion. I say this as a Native American myself.

Guys, for those saying that the deer survived the car accident, it did not. That deer is dead, the creepy part is that it has the Zombie Disease. It makes the deer be able to walk and do deer things after death.
