if T.O. does not get on and McNabb does it will be a crime....T.O. went off on mcnabb cause he quit(mcnabb) mid 3rd quarter in the super bowl...go back and watch you see it in his eyes and body language. and that is what pissed off T.O. who came back early from a broken ankle to play for his team...I believe be was just very passionate about winning, sometimes to a fault...and it is sad one of the greatest ever will be remembered for that and not his talent

Owens was a complete and total beast at WR. I don't care what he did "off" the field. Skip is a perpetually frustrated "wanna be" athlete who never mounted to anything so he sits on his media thrown trying to knock others down. Complaining that T.O. led the league is drops is like complaining about Reggie Jackson in his prime leading the league in strikeouts. You accept it because the flip side is so productive you can live with the mistakes. I watched his entire career..and I NEVER saw him take a play off...or mail in a game. Shannon is so correct as are the people posting that Skip is bitter that T.O. didn't deliver his ring while in Dallas. What a complete and total fool.

I remember one play when romo had threw an interception at the goal line on the other side of the field (opposite of T. o.) and he ran him down and Made the tackle inside the other 5 yard line when everyone else gave up on the play. Say what you want, but t.o. NEVER gave up on a play.

If the HOF selection was solely based upon what happened off the field then it would be a very small group of people. However, since the HOF is based upon what you do on the field, then T.O should be in the HOF. I would take T.O over any receiver playing today because of what he can do on the field.

They Call Me Tatter Salad I'm not dismissing his point because of feelings. I'm going off of facts. Ironically, it's Skip who is going off of feelings while dismissing the opposing point. Again, it's supposed to be "on the field things" not "off the field". Even with what you just said, it still took place off the field while he still performed on the field. Sticking to the point at hand, Skip still has no good point because he's in his feelings.

Producing on the field means nothing to skip. It's what goes in the locker room and in T.O.'s driveway that matters to Skip. What goes on on the football field means very little to Skip Bayliss.

It’s good that he is finally in. Keeping him out was ridiculous because the stats are just too phenomenal. It’s like saying a baseball player with a .300 lifetime batting average and 3000 hits does not deserve to be in the Hall of Fame because he did not win the World Series, and had some issues with teammates. In the four major team leagues (NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB), in their Halls-of-Fame, you would have no difficulty finding a large laundry list of pricks in either of them. Their personalities didn't disqualify them. Is Terrell Owens a prick? Yes. Was he a pain in the ass to put up with in the locker room and on the sidelines? Without question. However, with that being said, his numbers speak for themselves, and his numbers alone are Canton caliber. Even with his attitude, he would get my vote just based on the numbers he put up.

I can't stand Terrell Owens; he represents everything wrong with professional athletes...he's a hard core narcissist, he's a locker room cancer, he's not a team player, he's talked mad shit about almost every QB he's played with. That said... His numbers alone warrant HOF induction. Owens is second all time in receiving yards, third in Tds, sixth in catches, and he played in Super Bowl XXXIX on one leg and still had nine catches for 122 yards. Owens was a reprehensible human being while in the NFL but his numbers and dominance put him among the best receivers in NFL history. Only Jerry Rice and Randy Moss were demonstrably better.

Hi It's me ...Owens didn't quit, he always played his ass off. And Randy Moss didn't talk mad shit about every QB he played, Owens did. Moss took plays off and was by all accounts a team player and a good locker room influence. Owens worked tirelessly and was a toxic personality.

I understand both side. Sometime what happens in the locker room can affect what happens on the field. But at the end of the day, play is what matters and TO is definitely a Hall of Famer.

This is a tough one because I get where both guys are coming from. I think Skip is right in that TO's off field issues hindered chances of 3 teams to win and should be weighed against him. But I also get Sharpe in the fact that it shouldn't be a bunch of dudes who don't play football deciding who gets into the fall of fame. It should be the players and coordinators who played against him that decide what caliber of a player TO was -- if they were able to be fair and objective.

As much as I hate Terrell Owen's and I'm a Giants fan, I think he should be in the Hall of fame. Now there probably gonna delay a couple of years because of his negatives or distractions whatever, but as much as I hate him because I admit I'm a giant fan he will be or should be in the hall of fame eventually in time.
