meg It’s a double-edged sword. LeBron was going to win at least two rings at some point in his career regardless. He took an opportunity to play in his prime (with his close friends by the way) on a team with one of the best front offices in sports. He knew that if anyone could make him a winner, it was Wade, Bosh (supposed to be Melo), Erik Spoelstra, and Pat Riley. Many legends have “what-if” careers because they chose not to play out their primes somewhere else. Damian Lillard is probably the closest thing to that we have today. There’s no problem in switching to a better FRANCHISE (not team) to do what’s best for your career. Let’s be honest, would you rather want Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, etc. stay on their teams or join/make contenders to cement themselves as greats?

Yeah Mj to me is the goat. Westbrook is a bad comparison without any rings and only 1 finals appearance. Westbrook has played with all stars in KD, Hardin, PG, Melo and was not able to get it done. Westbrook cant shoot to save his life. Mj was automatic from the field which is why Westbrook will never win a scoring title or hit that all time list. Only way they compare is athletic and speed but Westbrook is 6’3 Mj was 6’6. But besides that they are NOT comparable.

Coming from a big Jordan fan, Skip is reaching a bit. A struggle is a struggle. It is not about if he is better than Jordan, it is about understanding what the journey was for Jordan and LeBron can empathize. That's it... Nothing more. Skip cannot speak on how something may affect another man. Each person may react differently but still a struggle. If you go deeper on struggles, two different home life the two had to overcome.

Dan Clark Limarez guy MJ had the “organic” benefit of having an HOF GM built a championship team around him. Lebron was a lot like MJ in those first 7 years all stats and no rings. The difference was Cavs were not bringing anyone into Cleveland. I’m a huge MJ myself and consider him the goat I just don’t get the double standards with MJ. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@danclarklimarez3744 LeBron didn't have a Scottie Pippen on his team. If he did he would've stayed. Jordan also played on super teams also even if they were Organic. Bird played on a Superteam. So did Magic. They were lucky to get drafted into very good situations with competent front offices. I understand that the Celtics were bad in the previous 2 seasons before Bird came but right after his first season they went out to and made the best draft day trade, getting Kevin McHale and Robert Parish. LeBron wasn't that fortunate. And if I was LeBron I would've also left Cleveland in 2010 because they sucked w/out him. The Cavs went 0 - 7 in the games he missed in the '07-08 season. They went 1-5 in the games he missed in the 2009-10 season.

Also regarding to your second point, with MJ you dont need that much to build a team around him, just pass him the ball and get out of his way. Jordan played pre zone defence. Its almost a different game when you consider the magnitude of what that means to defensive schemes. You could argue Kobe had a more complete game as he had to navigate a different defensive landscape.

But where they really grow apart is the difficulty of there rings. Lebron beat the ok3 thunder wit KD Russ and James Harden, beat the San Antonio Spurs dinasty with Duncan Parker and Ginobli, and beat my warriors who were 73 and 9 which their were a lot of factors in that series with Steph being hampered by injuries, Draymond getting suspended in game 5 and Bogut our rim protector getting injured. But u can’t deny that Lebron killed it in those last 3 games where he went 41 41 and a 27 point triple double and broke my heart. The bottom line is that we should appreciate both players because in Kobe’s situation we don’t know how long we have em but in my opinion and most of the facts just point to Lebron being a better player🤷🏽‍♂️💯
