The truth is that when Shannon left, it ended the “Embrace Debate” model which Skip pioneered. Now Skip is trying to pivot to what First Take is doing now which is more of a commentary/analysis format where disagreement and debate isn’t forced. Just doesn’t work for Skip because his whole career has been embrace debate. He really should just retire and be at peace with it. Dude changed sports media for 20 years, pretty impressive run
