The Wave isn’t overrun with people, lol. The lottery is, but it’s still worth the effort.

Ha! I wondered what you did if you came up on someone on that road where it was tight. I guess you pull off into the sand and get stuck. Gotta say though, we went to white pocket and it was amazing....then we got wave permits. It’s not like horseshoe bend or antelope canyon due to the limited permits. And if you look at ALL the sights and not just the wave itself, it’s absolutely amazing. Don’t write it off.

The Wave is not overrun with people. It is just a challenge to get a permit to hike there.

Horseshoe bend is over run by people especially now that you gotta pay money and there is a bigger parking lot. But the wave isn't over run by people bc it's hard to get a lottery ticket.

She states all these provisions in order to reach this magical place. How fun is this place when you have to have the right 4x4 truck or suv, sandy conditions, let air out of your tires, have the correct gps coordinates. This sounds like a lot of work to be away from everyone else. There are too many good places in the area that don’t require you to have all the items she states.

I've talked about going to the Vermilion Cliffs Nat. Mon. for years now and made it to White Pocket on 2020-02-13. Definitely goin' back for more!

The wave is popular bbut definitely hard to get the lottery. We went there April 1st parking lot was crowded but no one was at the wave. You can't just hike thr wave... we saw few rangers up the trails checking for your permit tags.

I would not say better, just different. The Wave is so precise and perfect, it seems like it is unnatural. White pocket while really interesting is more unorganized and rough.

The wave only lets 20 people a day in. So it will not be over run but you might not be able to get a permit to go.

I have been studying youtube for info on the road out to White Pocket. I have a dually 4x4 truck and had been wondering how it would be getting out there and I see you got there with a dually truck. No problems? Did you lower tire pressure in the outside rear tires or all of them? Was your camper on the truck? Any other tips? Thanks

The Wave was a Windows background, Windows 7. Also, they only give out 68 permits a day to hike The Wave, so how can there be "hundreds of people trying to get a selfie with their IPhone"? Just wondering?
