Download this video at skitguys.com/videos/item/roman... A group of men gather to discuss their lack of romantic inclinations, when a more evolved member of the group reveals that the secret to romance is simply being there for your wife.
There is a book, "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus". I liked it, and my wife and I read it and it helped us understand some things about each other.
A New Believer You people are all missing the point of the video. If you treat a woman as if she means more to you than anything whether you even know her or not it gets you ready for the real thing. Men if you treat your wifes like she deserves then she will willingly submit to you as the Bible says. Not because she has to but because she wants to. It's not difficult to do for someone who shows you love. You need to watch The Skit Guys for the humor, yes, but the words and lesson more. I have gained more blessings and knowledge from watching their videos than I thought possible. We need to get our heads out of TV's and into the word.
I agree with you I was raised in the church myself, but I like watching Skit Guys they hit home very well I love Tommy's video on the birth of Jesus in the manger
aaaaaaahahahha. The confession about him having tried to listen instead of trying to fix the problem and then ending up putting together a 7-step-plan to fix it in the middle of listening. - hilarious!!!
Yeah, the whole meeting is a spoof of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Rather than recite The Serenity Prayer, they recite that Romantically Challenged thing. They have styrofoam cups of coffee, a staple at AA. Before they talk they say "Hi, my name is Dan...", and then everyone responds "Hi, Dan." Very well done.
Great video...love the movie reference at the end made me laugh. Good movie too :P. I love how the skit guys can make comedy and inspiration come together in one cohesive video!
Yeah, the "Dead Poet's Society" spoof was very clever, but I really enjoyed the spoofs of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, from the "shares" to drinking coffee from a styrofoam cup to the "Hi, Dan!"s, and if you caught the whiteboard in the background it said "whatever happens in mens group stays on God's heart forever", which is a spoof of "whatever happens at AA stays at AA". Clever. Oh, and the video quality is outstanding.
doing dishes a big win. let me tell you yes it is!!! especially when you're pregnant. you guys are so sweet. no wonder you have wonderful marriages. it's a natural thing that us woman want to love our husbands but we also want the same amount of love and you guys nailed it!
Just got back from a Family Life "Weekend To Remember" marriage conference at Lake Tahoe. They had breakout sessions where all the men were in one room and all the women in another. I thought this would have been a perfect video to show there, since parts of the conference session are funny and parts are serious. I've shown this at a men's retreat, and it was both hilarious and touching.
Let's all just remember to treat our loved ones, our spouses, our children, those we live with, like gold. My husband treats me like a queen. And I reciprocate. It makes our lives so much more peaceful and just plain wonderful. It doesn't mean that we don't have hiccups here and there, but having God in our relationship makes not just our home life, but everything else beautiful. When you have genuine happiness with each other, you spread that happiness to others outside your home. Love each other. Work at your relationship. We all have flaws and pasts that blur our view of love. But its so easy. God bless you all.
Well said. Marriage is a wonderful thing. God planned it that way. But it's not perfect. We each have our own idiosyncrasies. Those things that annoy our spouse. So how should we handle it? Practice tolerance. It's not easy. It's not human nature. But it's necessary. Let it go. Ask yourself "what will I gain if I make a scene out of this issue?" Usually nothing but more aggravation. So, relax, be tolerant, even if you have been unfairly treated. Take the high road, strive for peace, and in a few minutes, everything will be wonderful again, as God has planned.
"oh captain, my captain..." that made the whole thing worth watching. i absolutely love The Dead Poets Society... rent it whenever you can... Robert Sean Leonard and Robin Williams.
