I have intermittent explosive disorder as well as anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder. It’s hard sometimes to not freak out when something happens or you’re in a bad mood and lash out. It’s easier the older you get to deal with it and cope like he said but I’m proud of him for getting his anger and issues out in a positive way. It was hard for me to learn to do that so I get how hard it must have been to grow.

As a diagnosed schizophrenic, I appreciate that he takes the time explain the differences between thoughts/voices in your head (whether normal or from other mental illness/instability) and the voices that a schizophrenic hears. At first, I wasn't sure whether using the name 'Skitz' was furthering the negative stigma regarding schizophrenia and the mainstream reaction that anyone who isn't mentally stable is a 'schitzo,' but his understanding, appreciative, and supportive explanation regarding both schizophrenia and the mentally ill in general is super amazing. I think it's brilliant that he uses that ignorant reference to 'schitzos' regarding mental health and illness to reach out and erase that toxic stigma. Kudos, bro. Thank you for being awesome and helping others with struggles like yours.

Dude you're the man for opening up like this! People are hurting out there and act as if they don't have a problem but that only spreads the hurt with every outburst. I wish I had found a craft like music to express my emotions and I definitely wish I had a family that was willing to be real about this $hit. The Stigma is The Enemy. This and similar diseases are as detrimental to society as they are because of the widespread ignorance that people choose to feel this way. No one should ever have to feel shame or embarrassment when coming forth with these kinds of issues.

I live with all of these on top of ADHD and had turned into a monster. And hearing him say that it is the anger that causes the depression gives me insight as to where my depression comes from cause IDK and haven't figured it out. Music helps so much. no one understands that when I am in those super crazy rage filled moments music like his and the "psychotic" music helped me out of it better.

This interview really spoke to me and many other people. My partner of 4 years has BPD and I've got DID, depression and I'm bipolar. We both have ptsd and were using drugs to self medicate for many years and I'm also on a cocktail of medication. It was really hard but you can find normality within the madness. There is hope! Much Respect for sharing this. So many people think they understand or know about mental illness but its so complicated. IED was something I was not aware of until 13 years ago. I 💓 someone who suffered from that. I am lucky to be here and he is forgiven. He had a hard time getting over his actions and and could not get past it and then that lead him spiraling downhill into a bad depression. I totally get his trust issues. You can not confide in Dr's. You got to have an outlet. I 💕 Skitz. I am at a point in my life where I can't get enough of him. Im in definite agreement...I 💕 animals more that any human being. Always will.

I feel like my rage is at the same level but I dont have the filter like he does when I go off it threats to people like friends and family and people around me and I had no control over it and my depression over the years has driven me into my room being a complete shut in but since I've started college I've been getting out more and getting over my social anxiety and fighting through my depression and being more social and over the years I've gotten better with my blind rage and his music helps even more it's like venting without physically venting
