Thank you. These instructions made sense, unlike the gibberish instruction manual that came with the watch. I wish the manufacturer had paid a few dollars and had an actual English speaker write the instruction manual, but that's been the case with several other Chinese electronic gadgets I've ordered.
Lol it's quite the other way around, Garmin is a homage of that watch module. This module has been long produced since the early 2000's I remember that I had mine in 2008 or 2009 it was called "Weathermaster 7" back then.

i received mine, its pretty nice, but the contrast is not the best, could be so cool to have a tutorial video of you changing the polarized filter to make it positive LCD, just an idea if interested :)
Since the Spovan is the same movement but inverted I wonder if there is a switch, jumper, or something that can be modified on the circuit board to make this watch black text on grey like the Spovan. This has a more rugged case but the visibility isn't great.
Got mine today..but i realised the new version cant change the upper display to other stuff. watch will only display day. Not as per video can scroll weather..temp etc....long press upper right will go to barometer mode straightaway...
does your barometer graph on the barometer mode work? Mine is just a straight line. Whenever I try to hold the B button for calibration and then hold it again to save the settings, it appears for 1 second and then goes back to the straight line.
Thanks for the video, it's full of detail. I do love this watch and all the features, but my wrist is so small. Do you have any suggestion for smaller watch with same function?
after wear it a bit i notice already a micro dent, the glass looks very fragile, i already bought a 35 mm glass protector, but would be cool to be abel to fully substitute the default one by a better quality glass; makes no sense to have a cheap simple glass in a watch thats made for sports. I also found the PACER to not work properly, when the rythm is high, it sometimes avoid one beep, like if the watch runs out of memory and could not handle all the beeps. There is another problem with the altimeter graph, if you have set in the main screen the baro graph, when you enter to the altimeter, the altimeter graph style is not "full", looks like the grpah of the barometer. But if you have anything else set in the main screen, then the altimeter graph style is "filled", looks something odd to me, maybe was programed this way intentionally or maybe not, no idea. I guess those are my main concers on this watch, along with low readability of the negative LCD of course. Anyway, still a full featured cheap watch,
купил часы 418 выброшеные деньги....диаметр реального экрана 25 мм все остальное визуальное расширение корпуса цифры маленькие читаются с трудом более менее на 10 уровне контрасности. все остальное читать только со зрением единица . все остальное только с лупой или в очках. бликуют страшно.
@@GedmisLaguna hello Sir, Which watch display do you think are the easiest to read skmei 1418 or skmei 1358 ? Because I saw that the lcd on 1358 is located deeper under the watch mineral glass. Wish skmei make the positive display version of these watch 😥
You can find skmei 1418 manual on this page skmei.com/products-item/skmei-pressure-compass-pedometer-watch-1418/. But looks like either the battery of your watch is dead, or the watch is defective. You should contact the seller about this issue. Or try to change the battery.
are skmei negative displays readable during evening time? under normal street lighting? without the EL light? (You know just in case its raining and skmei advices to not press any button whilst the watch is under water or wet).

It us energy efficient - except for compass use - compass itself when use is 250mA-300mA (light is just 9mA, air pressure sensor checking takes :around 30mA-100mA). Rest is negligent energy use. Typical CR2032 battery us is 220mAh.
Any perspective on how accurate the weather forecast icon is? I think this is a great watch for the price but not seeing what drives the weather forecast icon and how accurate it is. Why is there an option to set the weather forecast in the setting mode?? Thanks!
Mine's out of the box and I find it very dim, even when using the back light. Would there be an advantage in getting the battery changed already? It also fogged up inside after my first shower, so I don't think the water resistant tag is trustworthy
@@GedmisLaguna I have it on 10 which is the highest it goes. The brightness is nothing like shown on the advertising posters. It seems darker than even your video.
I did end up changing the battery myself. It was a significant improvement in the lighting and the compass configuration began working properly. Interesting that the sticker on the old battery said it was only 3 months old. It was dated 03/2019
i just bough one of those, well i have it for free in fact bcos was some credit money, but do you think would be possible to rotate the polarizer and convert it into a positive LCD like the spovan beyond ? i dont want to break it xD
Mesinnya keduanya sama aja bro, cuma beda di housing aja.. Klo mau jam yg modelnya gede dan keliatan sporty pilih yg 1358.. Kalo kurang suka jam gede dan gak suka ada tulisan SKMEI di jamnya pilih yg 1418. Kelebihan 1418 yg lain yaitu bisa pakai strap aftermarket klo strap bawaan rusak.. Tinggal beli aja strap ukuran lug 22mm
Same movement in different type cases. Skmei 1358 is much bigger and more massive watch, also it looks more aggressive. While Skmei 1418 is smaller in size and looks more elegantly . I think case of 1358 is more durable and better protects the movement and the crystal. Both are 3 ATM water resistant. I'd say they are equal, chose what you like more. I prefer 1358 a bit more.
@@GedmisLaguna 3 ATM is not even suitable for shower! im commentig this because it maybe help you not to spoil your watch and choosing better while purchasing
