Now coming to the comparison, Skoda has few other things which Fortuner does not have and you could have mentioned them too....like 1. Better music system 2. Door umbrella holders 3. Door protectors 4.Automatic handsfree parking 5. Removable Torch in the boot and so on which Fortuner does not have. However my overall experience says that SKoda Kodiaq is a soft roader and Toyota Fortuner is a tough off roader but not better than Endeavour. Anyway all are good SUV's. The points where Skoda lags are 1. Under powered engine 2. Very poor service maintenance engineers 3. Very costly including service cost and poor spares. This will impact a long run of the car. Nothing can match the class,built of skoda kodiaq , it's premium ! I own skoda , no bad experience till date , even kodiaq have 2 lit engine ,still faster to endeavor in 0-100. A German smart fighter and japenese sumo :))

the Frank talk between friends and the clarity of sound is nice. the only thing u guys don't discuss about is the after sales service and maintenance cost along with long term reliability. I have had Octavia and Laura both and both have clocked above 1.5 lakh kms but when it comes to parts and long term reliability skoda is as expensive to maintain as any other premium German cars.

The technological advancement of the German car has been overlooked in a very subtle manner. Kodiaq is faster by many seconds to reach 100 kms/Hr . In braking from 100-0 the Fortuner takes almost 15-18 feet more distance to come to a full stop. That is a HUGE distance , Can you imagine a small kid comes in front of your speeding SUV on the highway and you take 15 odd feet more distance to stop... as compared to the your friends car . The Kodiaq will steadily climb to 200 Kms/Hr effortlessly and there is still power n punch left in the engine to go further... that is why its ABS EBD are engaged from a speed of 180 KMs/Hr . While in the fortuner the EBD will only work upto 100-110 KMs/Hr ... after that they simply disengage. So i would like the fortuner owner to speed upto 180 KMs/Hr and suddenly apply full brakes :) Full Off roading will happen :) . Yes the fortuner will win hands down when you have to take seven adults off roading in a single car..... but does anybody to that ?? Then the odl model fortuner have a 180 cm ground clearance if i remember correctly. The Kodiaq build quality is matchless in front of the fortuner . Just open and close the SUV door and you will see the difference , i have seen a Kodiaq saleman opening the door of the car and climbing of top of the open gate and then shaking it as hard as he could . When he came down he simply closed the door with two fingers. Please do not do the same to a fortuner door , the SUV will have to be sent to the workshop. ANYWAY i DO ENJOY the Fortuner also. Got to Go ! Bye ... Nice Video !

People say that the sunroof... no use..maybe once a year you come out through this... also,..you don't really need extra light... in fact, it makes the roof of your car weak ..if you are going to hilly areas that may be an issue where stones roll down the hill quite often ...and also needs additional maintenance

World wide Toyota vehicles are cheap to maintain that's why fortuner or innova sell better.. Kodiak .. Tiguan. BMW x1 ,Audi q3 , etc all are nice but service cost and back up is the main issue. Tata storme can also do 75% of what a Kodiak does. Maybe at some places TaTa is better too. We just have to adjust to the vehicles potent !!

Still no sunroof in fortuner but we can add the sunroof so this is the king 🙂
