Hello there, thank you very much for this video! I have Octavia Tour, year 2011, with 1.6 petrol BSE engine. It has problem with "rough" idle from time to time, even I have only 50.000 km ! (second car in the family). But mostly used to go to supermarket and back, which is approx. 5 kilometers from our home. So, very short drive, most of the time. Friends suggested me that problem can be with accelerator valve (clogged), EGR valve (dirty), MAP sensor (dirty), spark plugs, cables... even some vacuum leak... But, I wanted to change spark plugs just to eliminate this possibility, and came across to your video. Thank you! By the way, my Skoda service dealer told me that spark plugs are good to up to 100.000 km (those that came with the car), and those are Brisk brand, much better than NGK that everybody is putting instead (as aftermarket product). What is your experience with the sparkplugs? Should they be changed at 100.000km or before? Thank you!
Hey man, have you found the solution for the rogh idle? I have the same problem with my BSE engine. No error codes, but in my biagnosing program i see some random misfires, but not only in one cylinder, but completely random. Already changed the spark plugs, ignition cables and coil pack. MAP sensor is cleaned, PCV system is clean, butterfly valve clean, no vacuum leaks. O2 sensors changed, still i have rough run, it kinda feels that the engine falls out of rhythm. Strange. I did measure the compression ratio in cylinders, they are the same on all 4 cylinders... Checked the fuel rails. Checked the injectors for leak/cloggage, but they are fine. I'm running out of ideas.
A. F. Sounds like the same problem I’m having. It just appeared out of nowhere. I have changed plugs, plug wires, knock sensor, coil pack, mass airflow sensor, camshaft position sensor. The new camshaft position sensor made it a lot better, but it still misfires when the engine is Nice and warm, I’m thinking of trying colder type spark plugs. Have you solved the problem?
I had NGK BKUR6ET-10 spark plugs with Audi & VW logos on my A3 8L 1.6 BFQ that was serviced at the dealer the last time in 2006. Approx 140000km 'with this set of plugs. Now I got completely dead n. 4 cylinder and it had a very fouled spark plug. Maybe something else wrong with it still, but it looks like changing just the spark plug fixed this issue.
@@a.f.1587 Check engine valve clearance. They should be adjusted for many engines after 80.000 - 120.000 km. Don't know exactly for this engine, but probably it's valid. Also change the type of oil you use and next time you change oil, use a flush on the engine.

Nem gondoltam volna hogy ez így sikerülni fog, de ügyesen megoldotta. Egyedül az lehet gond, hogy sok mocsok kerül a gyertya helyére és lehet hogy nem zár rendesen a tömítő gyűrű.
Not so clean but still quite efficient way. Better than stripping down the intake. Also mostly done by one hand for the other holds the camera. Good work! Don't tighten sparkplug with one hand due to angle forces coming from the long arm of ratchet. Good work!
29:05 tak přesně v téhle chvíli jsem povoloval tu svíčku. Nešlo to ,tak jsem zabral a jak to škublo ,tak jsem ulomil ventilek s tou modrou čepičkou a vstřikovací lišta je na vyhození!😥 Takže hoši, bacha na to!!!
Hello i have an 2011 1.6 bse skoda octavia 2 and i have a problem with starting it afther stays in the sun. In the morning it starts fine but afther several hours parked in the sun doesnt want to start at firt key. I changed the temperature sensor, the fuel pump, the gas filter, the n80 valve, sparkplugs and cranksaft senzor. What can i do?

sanie som nedaval dole kvúli tesneniu, lebo neviem v jakom je stave a iné nemám po ruke. v skutočnosti je lepšie sa stím takto trochu pohrať. do 30 minut to bude hotové. na videu to vyzerá nemotorne lebo sa pri tom ešte aj natáčam. a sviečky išli hodne ťažko von. bol uplne suchý závit
mas naprostou pravdu, zvladnul jsem to i se sanim, diky, bylo to cele asi do 40min... Mam skvelou gola sadu od sve zenusky, i s kloubem, takže to byla hračka. Svíce šly povolit v pohodě, musí být teplý motor (prý)
