Buddy, I have seen some people got vw/skoda cars with manufacturing defects. Other than that some buy used car which are not well maintained. Only those give problems. I own Polo Highline, in fact I learned driving with it. Many times make mistakes, but they still have great quality and unaffected. People don't find this level of quality engineering under 10-15 lakh. If you have car that can go till 130kph and 0-100 in 14 sec, that will definitely get low grade engine oil n service than a car that can go 180 kph and 0-100 in 9.5 sec.

Ambition does not have sun roof, cruise control, head-light washer, tyre pressure monitoring system. May be few more features which should not matter much.

Superb Diesel Mileage depends on your speed, whether you are driving in city or highway. In city should give up to 10-15, Highway should give up to 12- 18 depending upon speed, clutch and acceleration. Usage of AC at full blast also has an effect on fuel consumption
My Superb has surprised me on multiple occasions by giving a fuel economy of 20-22 kmpl on Mumbai Pune expressway. In normal city traffic, the mileage is around 15 and in heavy traffic, its around 12kmpl.
Big NO to Skoda CARz. Think TWICE and wisely. The simple reason is, high maintenance and spare part cost and gear box failure is guaranteed which will cost more than 7 lakhs with weeks of waiting time in service centers. AC repair 25K, head lights 25-75K, Minor small repairs min 10-15K. Skoda makes money from these. Skoda CARz will excite you from look and driving feel and punch, but robs you with high repair and maintenance cost. Both Skoda and VW are not good to own unless if you don't mind spending lakhs for maintenance, service and repair. Understand why these guys offer 5/4/2 year free service or parts warranty. Standard statement from service center would be spares not available, it will take days/weeks to arrive and you will loose all the oil getting these white elephants getting repaired. Same case with AUDIs however BMW/Mercedes/Range rover Jaguar are worth owning and professionally charged in terms maintenance and service. Never-ending story of Skoda carz- be it Rapid Octavia or Superb....big hole to you pocket is guaranteed. Be cautious before owning a new or used skoda/VW/AUDI.

@@prateeksharma512 I agree with you. My comments are for used cars of Skoda all variants, VW jetta, vento, Audi all variants where the wear and tear is high. These are pleasure to drive, however not reliable due to poor road condition and inexperienced service man. It will be easy for them replace and thus cost will be a bombshell for buying these used or new carz. If one knows a reliable service personnel and maintains your vehicle would be great.!!! Enjoy your POLO which is real gem on the road. Its road grip and power both are just amazing!!!

And yes I got your point that's why I talk about both points, that if someone get a good condition car and use it properly then except regular service no major ownership cost difference, as their parts last longer. Only if one get defective new car or badly used old car then it cause major problems. In addition when we were looking for used car, everybody say no for VW to me, but when I find my car from a trusted known person, only then I lock this deal. I was aware about Dsg and sensors problems.
