This is a very good example of Grime fused with UK Dubstep. Seems like you aren't very familiar with it, but it sounds really good on great soundsystems. Give it a go on better speakers or studio headphones, it'll RUMBLE
Yea I'm not too familiar with that sound, but it's definitely on my radar now! And I assume that'll be the same case for a lot of other people as well!
I can't understand how Fred Again's leaked edits were 100 times better in terms of production quality.. The mixing & mastering here is trash compared to the Fred Again's leaks..
A lot of people will disagree but this is straight up sounding like original UK dubstep, back when Dubstep was actually dubstep. As a fan of all aspects of dubstep like the throwback with the drums and the bass being so subby like old original dubstep
Also noticed I made sound like I am saying colour bass or brostep isn't Dubstep we when it is but as I said, nice throwback to the original sound. I am only making this comment cause we know how people are 😅
Rumble seems to be basically a more refined and jungle/shroom version of Fuji Opener mixed in with a little bit of Killa. Noticed that Skrillex does that quite a bit. He'll sort of reinvent a genre or something (to a degree) and then use whatever new knowledge/methods for a period of time, for like 2 years+ as he's slowly perfecting those skills and then ultimately release something where you can dig into his and probably get a pretty good understanding of where the journey started. You see it with Take U There with Diplo and Purple Lambo which is basically a Joyryde song and an unreleased ID called Horn Trap. The whole post processing brass sections to sound big and aggro which eventually turns into the Humble remix it seems, which is probably one of the hardest brassy trap tracks ever. Not intended to take away anything from the track, I love the track and am probably one of the bigger Skrillex simps, but it's interesting when he makes something that makes you sit there in awe as to how he can consistently do this shit, but as time has gone by, some of his inspirations seem to become a bit more apparent. I guess the take away from my comment is that I can not wait till he reaches his peek with this jungle-y stuff and makes the equivalent to "Humble" in this type of genre, this song most likely isn't it.
to start with i was disappointed consider how popular skrillex is for some stuff- knowing how little it seems that he did listening again though i was able to pick out what he did and i enjoyed it! i’ve never been much of a fan of grime/rap but is is aight!
Blowing up baby👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘...Brits Still Ahead In the Game when it comes to Dance music,I Mean we gave the World the Prodigy, and we Are Still killing it with Various forms of Techno...🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good to see songs getting shorter and shorter to the point where they're done in an instant. Give it 5 years and songs will be no more than 90 seconds long. It's almost like the TikTok trend of short snippet videos has carried over to music.
Only makes you want more, it only feels good because if it lasts any longer, you'd eventually start skipping (if the track is good, you won't). People have terrible attention spans these days. A lot of artists are great at making short tracks that are punchy and get to the point and are gone quick, I don't think it works with most music though, depends on the BPM and genre. All of this literally doesn't apply to Skrillex specifically, he can make a trash compactor sound good on a blown speaker. Yeah, I'd say it's dropped from the old 4min to around 2:30, but that's mostly just the states and pop culture, look anywhere else and it's very different.
@@mitrikgaduk347 I'm not a fan of this Skrillex track in particular, but Skrillex has been one of those artists that does make quality tracks. And as one of the comments pointed out, shorter tracks do indeed get more plays as they're easily digestible, then compared to something like an Infected Mushroom track (I love IM but some people do not like 8-10 minute tracks so those kind of songs are skipped quite a bit). I guess my favourite part of songs have always been everything building up to the main part, and these influx of shorter songs just completely skip that and get to the drops, and personally I find those tracks to feel rushed.
@@gindamusic1296 Yes yes, less time = more repeat plays, I feel like this is a non-argument because it literally doesn't matter. You can have as many plays as you want, it doesn't mean the song will be a hit. Where is this place you are talking about exactly? Spotify? Not everyone uses Spotify, when it comes to "plays" on YT it's an entirely different matter, if we are looking at view count and sales, length of a song literally doesn't matter. This catch all term "plays" is being overused without being defined properly, people consume media all over the place, and we know sales come from just about everywhere now (physical, digital from dozens of markets, etc). Last I checked, a user can't add a view to a video multiple times on YT (unless botting), so it doesn't matter how many "plays" it gets. Like, again, no shit if something is shorter it'll get more repeats, but it doesn't matter. No really, what's this matter? Take one good look at one of the most biggest genres today: K-Pop. Big artists such as Blackpink routinely have tracks that are 3min~3:30. That's not even counting J-Pop which again, some of the biggest tracks of the last few years were over 4 minutes long.
I was a HUGE fan of Skrillex. He basically showed me a whole new world of music. But this music has nothing in common with that old sound. It sounds so much cheaper and worse in general so I can't even imagine how you guys still buying it. I was stoked when I saw the teaser cause I've heard the old melodies in it and like good old style Skrillex, but this first song? Man what the actual F is it? Rap part is kinda ok, I'm no rap music fan but at least it's acceptable. I remember ten years ago I was playing Skrillex's tracks to all my friends and family and half of them were saying that it's no music, just some shitty sequence of random sounds. I understood why there were saying that, however I was headbanging on each new song Sonny has released. Now his music has actually become some shitty sequence of random sounds. I just don't understand how come nobody else has noticed that.
Maybe you just became like your family friends, you don't understand it This is like peak music from Skrillex Sure it's not as the old style but have you ever heard of change ? It has been more than 10 years guys grow up and adapt And music is taste overall, each to their own
In my opinion, WE NEED OLD SKRILLEX BACK!!! (True Gangsters, Slats Slats Slats, Amplifier, San Diego, Voltage, etc.) His new “light” stuff, just boring af. Sorry if anyone disagrees with me. Gonna go listen to Subtronics now
