That is fucking incredibly. The precision, the expression, the feeling and... HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GET THAT KIND OF SOUNDS OUT OF THAT SAXOPHONES?!? I'm playing since 25 years. But that... My deepest respect!!
Mito Gamez i am not an instrumental musician(i sing lol) but i FEEL THIS. My fiance is not a jealous man but i swear he must get annoyed with how infatuated i am with leo and his exorbitant amount of talent
Leo Pellegrino, one of the most talented sax and clarinet players out there. He went to one of the best music schools in New York (the Manhattan School Of Music) and he could have done anything with his abilities. He could have been a Classical musician, or a Jazz musician, Maybe a pop musician. Nah he decided to do this 4:21
Not gonna lie this song makes me think of a long journey, like 4 people and some companions on a mission to save some of their friends back at home (which is in the process of being destroyed) Of which the four characters find and meet someone by the name of midnight, and then make the journey back home, to which they lead the other characters to find a new home by a lake. No I defiantly did not just describe the entire plot if the first three books in The New prophecy, that would be crazy!
You’re the reason why I play bari. From all county jazz to tri county to district band I’m aiming for the top just to be like you Leo. Keep blowing that horn so I could slowly start playing like you 💪
FUCKIG...GENIUS..and I like it even more now that I can actually hear the sound of both saxes clearly unlike the previous live version with the broken mic
Damn, this is GOOD! Imagine hearing this instead of muzak when you're hanging out in a place like a hotel lobby, bar, even just driving down the road. This would be great for atmosphere. It's sophisticated, but it also grinds, wails, and rocks. This could either chill someone out or get their body moving.
You can tell how amazing their pocket is by the fact that they’re swaying in time with each other but not in time with the beat. Trickier than it looks lol
Great work Leo P 👌✌️💪 I really love your playing and your music 💗🎷💖 A week ago I've started to play sax again, after a long time, I've missed it a lot, but now I'm home again 🙏 I won't ever give it up. Please keep on moving you too with your great gift and energy 💫💜🎶💥🎷💥🎶💜💫
Pat Davis 2403 same man, I’d rather Melbourne as that’s where I’m based but I’d go all the way to Queensland to see any of them play! All of them and Meute, meute would also be amazing
These guys are phenomenal saw too many zooz in Fairfield about to see thundersmack in a couple months...they truly deserve fame ...there is bothing but talent
They are both monsters, and they let them out of the cage at 4:04. Leo P and Mike huge respect to them for such a marvelous performance. It really scared me. Leo P my lord and savior.
When the music is inside your heart and soul you can’t stop moving...Check out Leo he never stops moving and that’s what I love about him so much...You were both wonderful btw!!!
Oooh hey, I gotta know, what kind of a tenor is he playing on?! It looks a lot like my ancient Martin Indiana, but the octave mechanism is different, and I am digging the unique metalwork I see over the left hand keys. I get really excited when I see other people playing on vintage horns missing their lacquer. People tease my baby, Martin all the time 😭
People who trying to measure Leo’s talent in terms of jazz are just ridiculous! Jazz is nothing but just stupid word, and this gentleman is very true artist!
Love this. Thanks for all the hard work! Ive listened to this quite a few times already. Love your style. The dancing and the clothes..lol great stuff.
The way i came upon you is my best friend was looking up bari sax solos because I wanted him to see that my solo was hard for my age then he stumbled across you at BBC proms and we absolutely fell in love. You see, i can't do crazy altisamos, but i sure can play bari
I did and sent it to Leo via Facebook messenger...no response. It was just audio, no video...but if he were to respond and liked it I would gladly do a video version for him to use/publish. The song really inspired me. It starts with a drum n bass style groove, goes into a rock style, goes into a percussion section, then into a tribal tom groove, followed by a fat bass drum sparse/chaotic groove and ends with a straight 2,4 groove that fades out with them. I think it really supports their melodies and believe they would enjoy it if they heard it. Oh well.
So , you know sometimes you hear "He is the Jimmy Hendricks of..." Like John Popper is the "Jimmy Hendricks of harmonica". Well, Leo P is the "Jimmy Hendricks of the sax".
