If this station is trying to emulate Los Angeles they did a poor job of it. No audio, no explanation. At least the camera man and the pilot did a great job of keeping track of the car.

Because if there is already a helicopter monitoring the vehicle, chance is, supervisors said not to approach the vehicle until it is safe to do so, (away from civilians.) Suspect was being tracked since the beginning.
They can watch him from a distance they do t need to follow close. Just let him didplay his actions and they will either arrest him at his house or he crashes in a 🌲.
The police were probably in "observe" mode. Instead of actively chasing him they will have a police helicopter follow him while the ground units stay further back.
Wow, all of that and then isolated the helicopter by running under trees! Florida has got to start getting better at pursuits, with the heavy resources they have and outstanding Governor, do more!
