A high-speed pursuit ended in Echo Park Thursday after the vehicle slammed into a power pole and flipped onto its roof. Sky5 was overhead. Story: ktla.com/news/police-in-pursu...
@Annabelle Braun said "I do believe he has escalated his traffic violation to another level." The audio said they were armed robbery suspects. So the traffic violation is the least of their worries.
Of course it has. Car "safety" in American terms, is more about the safety of the occupants of the car rather than pedestrians or cyclists who are more vulnerable.
like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ru-vid.comUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
Maybe it IS a commercial. ... Maybe it is an episode of Black Box about a Toyota that is infected by a cop virus ... But it really appears to be dangerous to the IRLPeople....
Speaking of safety. Hard to tell from the overhead shot but if there were wires on the ground, I would not be running up to that car or even getting out of my car. That voltage can travel a long way even on pavement.
How any of those 5 people didn't end up dead is a complete miracle. They might've escaped death, but they're sure as hell not escaping a couple of herniated discs while they do their time in jail.
jail? they'll probably just get a slap on the wrist ... we're living in world of snowflakes, where criminals are being protected and innocent people get punished. Who will pay for all the damages he caused? He will probably have insurance companies chasing him, but so what? people like that have nothing .. so innocent people have to pay for the damage, while those clowns look at this footage and giggle over it.
Who ever wishes negativity to others perhaps deserve to be punished by God. Who's cares those people did wrong. They are still humans. And wishing bad to those whom we see as "bad people's not gonna make a better world.
@@mr.polemikus4933 I had one back in '96 that used a deep cycle boat battery. It would run my PC AND my CRT display for over two hours after losing power. It was bigger than a full cubic foot though... almost two.
It's really cool when suspects like that crash like he did. Good, a slow process to help them. They'll bond out within an hour. If they are minors, hold the parents accountable for the actions of their kids.
He meant the situation will take time to resolve. Some people may be without people cuz of the downed lines, people in those buildings can't come out etc
Per California state law, Wreckless Driving: Up to 90 days in county jail. A fine of up to $1,000. Evading Police: up to one year in county jail as well as a fine of up to $1,000. Additionally, the vehicle that was being driven may be impounded for up to thirty days. Destruction of Public Property: If less than $100 of damage: one-year imprisonment, a fine of up to $100,000, or both; If more than $100 of damage: ten years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, or both
Let's say it again: Mandatory minimum sentences do NOTHING, and statistically have been proven time and time again to do nothing. People do not choose to act like this rationally, and a bigger number will not make them less likely to do it.
"hope the driver is okay" yeah sorry but no, if they are willing to risk other's lives by being an idiot running from police, especially for a traffic violation, deserves what they get.
These news reporters seriously say dumb crap “Sticking his hands out the door” When he’s not even inside of the car “THREE SUSPECTS” when there are clearly 4
ikr! this video alone proves how strong the car is and Toyota never compromises on safety , i know korean car makes sell well because they give 60 month credit to anyone with a pulse BUT still its insane that anyone would actually buy hyundai/kias over Japanese such as Toyotas and Hondas when you see videos like this
@@magellanicspaceclouds faster to walk and take the metro in New York, at least that's my experience in the short time I've spent there. I liked New York
When the accident occurs: "This is going to be a slow process. The officers are going to take their time." Didn't know what he was talking about. One of the quickest apprehensions I've seen at the conclusion of a police chase..
Yep the reporter also said they were chasing them for a traffic violation but the news title clearly said pursuit of armed suspects. Then the reporter said the officers would have to be carful with these armed and dangerous suspects after the crash. They have no idea what they’re talking about
That is because there were no 11kV lines dancing around. Must have blown the breakers down at the sub-station or up on the pole. Notice how they made THEM back up under the lines all the way to where they were waiting for them.
I was thinking the same thing. If the guy is hurt it’s his fault. Also, no sane person runs like this for a simple traffic violation. He/she is wanted for some crime or they are carrying illegal items or both. Glad no innocent bystanders got hurt.🇺🇸
@@1richnasty I wish it on his family aswel. I'm sick of people thinking it's fun to endanger innocent people. Hope there families get sued into homelessness aswel.
It never gets brought up but people with medical equipment that rely on having electricity's lives are put at risk when clowns pull stunts that end up damaging electrical lines. It should be included in the charges of reckless endangerment
Aww, did your ventilator shut off on you because of this? Criminals do NOT follow laws and could care less who gets hurt or what happens because thugs in blue cause them to FEAR FOR THEIR LIVES and thus make them run in fear and put EVERYONE at risk.
Is it bad of me that I wished that the driver ended up in a wheelchair? How many innocent pedestrians, other drivers, and animals could have been hurt?
Criminals have figured out that they call off the chase really fast when you drive crazy. Get a police scanner app. I've heard them yell at an officer for following, then the officer reply that there is no danger to the public because he is in a helicopter.
i mean i dunno i just found a channel yesterday apart of an underground racing scene and his content mostly consists of outrunning police. he posts frequently.
@@christinagrimmiewasanactiv1847 well i definitely don’t follow him. he just came up in my recommended as i like car content and i was shocked hes evaded cops for as long as he has. just saying its possible oddly enough that cops can get out ran, even their radios. heck i remember footage going around of a charger losing not only cops but the helicopter following him.
…”wow, I sure hope the suspect is ok”…WTH?!! a suspect that has disregard for others safety I sure will not wish him well. I’m just glad he did not injured or kill anyone when he crashed.
Really what if you were carpooling to your local pickup basketball game and the driver did this while your in the backseat? I hope you mean the driver only.
Good thing he held on. I saw a video of a police dog who was accidentally let out of the car by a police officer, and it attacked a fully cooperative guy laying down on the ground during a traffic stop. The dog almost ripped the guy's arm off, I wish i never saw that video
Shannon regardless of the strength or body weight of your dog it doesn’t take that much force to hold back a dog. I know from experience. Kinda weird you brought this statement up and the 44 idiots that liked your comment that have no experience holding back aggressive dogs for any reason.
@@Starset1881 Well, you sound like an experienced professional. To most of us it looked like the the handler had his hands full. Perhaps he did not know all of your proper techniques.
The curb at the bar later that night…” you guys should have seen the way I tripped that Toyota into a power pole earlier today it was a classic game over”
"We sure hope that the suspect is OK..." I don't. He didn't care how many lives he threatened driving like that, why the hell should "we hope he's OK"? Trying to outrun the cops with 5 people in the car - sheer genius.
@@bobbyhill4118 There's one where one of these idiots driving on the wrong side of the road killed a guy and his dog crossing the street. I think anyone that did that should just be executed Judge Dredd style right on the spot. Instead he'll get MAYBE 10 years and out in 3. And I DID have a pimp in a Cadillac running from the cops against traffic on I-5 by Griffin park coming at me head on while I was on my motorcycle. Missed getting creamed by literally inches. So I DO know what that feels like!
*Longbow Shooter* You know what a hypocrite is? Someone who thinks 2-wrongs make a right. The Bible says, No hypocrite shall inherit The Kingdom Of God.
@@ToyotaGuy1971 You know what a Karen is? Someone who feels they are morally superior to others, and will make darn sure they tell you about it. Doesn't the bible also say something about judging others? Sounds kinda hypocritical of you.
Glad they got caught, but boy was that driver bad at driving. How do you overturn a sedan like that? Maybe 5 people in the car would make it more difficult to handle?
You never break on a turn you always want to accelerate out He saw the traffic and broke while turning then tried to counter steer What he should have down is drop a gear lay off the throttle and when he cleared his obstacle go back on the gas
Yeah, let him live and put him through the system so he can get out next week and commit the same crime. Maybe he will kill someone next time. Then ask me that same question. .
Roporter: "well there goes the 5th person out of the vehicle, a lot of ppl in that little toyota...." Toyota: literally made for 5 ppl and is a 5 seater...
I think they mean just for this chase, and chases in general. I’ve seen waaay too many chase vids and I don’t know I’ve ever seen 5 people come out of a car before. Definitely not a common occurrence for chases
Respect to TOYOTA!! The Japanese company sure knows how to design solid safe cars when multiple people in the Corolla Sedan flipped at 60mph hitting a pole and landing on its roof with zero injuries(also assuming they are not wearing safety belts either for quick exit) for the 5 passengers! if this was a kia or hyundai they would be dead for sure. This video proves that modern safery with curtain airbags and reinforced crash structures are no gimmick
when you’ve had injuries you’d know that could’ve been deadly, it’s literally unreal that every single one walked out uninjured. i think he might it more like wow they might be dead
I have a blueprint 2023 Toyota Corolla LE I got it last year on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 Had 6 miles when I bought it, has 10,297 right now. I love that car.
There are no perfectly good German shepherds. They are mis-breed and usually die faster than mixed breeds. They also have a huge tendency to develop hip problems. Poor dogs.
@@IsleNaK You don't know what you are talking about!! I have had 5 German Shepherds and they were all phenomenal, well trained and healthy. Buy from Germany or Czech as they have high standards when breeding. Saying "There are no perfectly good German Shepherds" is asinine!!!

High speed chases happened so often out here in LA I think what they need to do is up the charges to attempted murder because technically that’s what these idiots are doing when they go on a high-speed chase especially for something as mild as a freaking traffic violation.
