Once confined to a small tattoo shop in Harlem, Black Ink is now expanding into an empire...but is the brand growing too quickly? With a new shop in Atlanta, Ceaser is forced to split his allegiance as he travels back and forth from New York. Sky has made the move to Atlanta to take on her new role as manager, while simultaneously trying to rebuild family ties. Young Bae comes to terms with her difficult upbringing in South Korea and considers a trip back home while Melody kicks off new renovations while managing the 113th shop. Teddy supports his brother who is facing legal troubles as Donna is on a quest to find herself after leaving an abusive relationship.

The lady that raised her kids is such a beautiful soul and Des has clearly been brought up right, he's polite, not one of these gutter &*£$@ that the majority of the cast is, their mothers should've given them up for adoption too maybe. Right??! I agree.That is her twin up and down for real. That was why it was hard for Genesis to come around at first. He was so hurt about the abandonment. I know when he saw his mom for the first time in years. He saw himself. But i cried when he pulled her outside. To tell her he was sorry how he reacted to her at first. And he love her and he knows that Sky is his mama. I was so happy for her reunion with Genesis and Des. 😞😥😢😢😢

Im pretty sure she was underage when she had her kids. So its understandable that she gave them away, IMO. But there isn't exactly any excuse. My mom and her siblings were raised by my grandmother cause their mom didn't want to raise them, she'd instead go party. When one of my aunts was 14 she had her first son, and she had to take care of that kid. Mind you this is in the Caribbeans, so life for her was much harder than most. Especially in the area she lived in.

As an adoptee, I fully understand why genesis was physically upset. All of his years, of feeling abandoned came out. Even though he had a mother who raised him. I'm sure all of those feelings came to pass when he saw her...

She wasn't making excuses though. She really did go through some tough hard stuff. In and out of jail, dealing with a man a while decade earlier than her at only age 14. What she did was selfless. Give them up or continue doing what she was doing and let them government force her hand. She deserves grace. She was 19 still a baby herself.

Im adopted, I am African American in white family, I reached out to my birth mom, but never got response back, she was just like sky. These kids are so fortunate to meet their birth mom. Dutchess was bogus for that interview. It's not easy to put your child up for adoption but Skyy didn't realize how strong she was for being able to give them to a family who would love and support them like their own AND to go back after them knowing that Genesis was gonna be upset. My brother got put up for adoption and I pray everyday he got a family like this one.

Although i do agree she did it wrong it was 2 different situations with her sons because one was happy and the other wasn’t. Her emotions sabotaged that moment but it was clearly not intentional.

Now I’m not a fan of Sky, but I think it was really disgusting for Dutchess to allow that interview to be filmed in her shop....I get she is mad about how things went with her and Ceaser and she doesn’t like Sky, but that was evil, and beyond low and she knew how much that would hurt Sky...if I’m beefing with you it’s you not your kids...whether Sky raised them or not Dutchess coulda kept the hate between the two of them and not allowed for the interview to be filmed there.

I understand why Sky felt giving them up was the best thing. She wasnt an adult, she wasnt living a stable life. But she kept them together and gave them to a family that could give them so much more than she ever could at that time. It probably was a tough choice and caused a lot of pain and tears but she did what she thought was best and I can respect that. Because who knows what their lives would have been like itlf she hadnt. She was 14 when she had her first son! I just know it was tough.

Sky is the epitome of a wonderful mother. She did what most women couldn’t or wouldn’t do. She was too young to provide and people may judge her for that but I think she’s an amazing mom for giving them a better life. And she did meet up with them again later like she said what a wonderful lady God bless her.

Have never watched this show but after watching this scene, I think it’s a great show. Feel so sad for Sky n have witnessed so many close friends and family go thru the same experience. I feel sad for the boys as well and I think that with time, continuous love and support from their mom, things will get better. Sky pray and be consistent in your last son’s life and don’t give up on your first. I think that with time he will turn around. Don’t push him but just keep loving him.

She should of sat there and let him do the talking! She went straight into defense mode. You can tell that he did not want to hear anything she had to say, that every word was just excuses to him. She should of let him get everything off his chest it was his moment to get his pain and anger out unfortunately not her. To him she was the parent and he was the child even though she was a child herself he does not comprehend her explanations. With him she should of had a middle person who was a professional communicate between them before she had a face to face one on one.

I do wish she would get her lies straight. First she had twins by the same dude and she raised them for 6 yrs before she gave them up.
