I had some of these episodes on video tape, having taped them off the telly at the time. I used to piss myself laughing at the constant pop up characters interrupting whatever persona was telling the game tricks. DCI Mike Hatter's "Get off my Manor!" and "Shat IIIIttt!" still cracks me up. I love watching episodes of this, and classic Sky One footage in general. Blows my mind this was almost 30 years ago. Its like yesterday to me.
Idea for a programme: ‘Lady Shapes with Alan Partridge’. I look at the changing shape of ladies through the ages. From fat chubby ladies of the renaissance to hard-faced Cromwelling sour pusses. Right up to 20th century well-toned women like Sharon Davies and, Jet from Gladiators.
Same, "if you see the rozzers, tell em I went that way!" Whilst covering himself with a plant whilst talking to a young boy is madness 😂 how times have changed.

As a fan of games in 93, I watched this show. I was 13 in 1993 and I thought it was cringe. The only reason to watch was for game footage, the rest was an embarrassing mess you had to endure.
Literally could tell they made up the thing about the next streetfighter, what year did this air wouldn't Alpha 1 warriors dreams already be in japanese arcades. Could tell the production budget was much lower than Gamesmaster, same people produced both but sky was not big back then, so c4 got the actual game journalist's apperaing. It did however basically invent youtube gaming formats before youtube.
I wonder if this was all recorded before gladiators came out which was 92 and this says 93 but it seems like something she did before being in gladiators
If you didn't click this for Diane Youdale, you weren't a child of the 90s. David Walliams must be about 12 here...interesting seeing where his culturally inappropriate costumes came from though.
Games World was an awful show. Cringe actors who a couple grew up to be even more cringe. Sky have never made a decent TV show about videogames. Gamezville or something like that was another one, all urban street cool vibe. Absolute trash. Although Jet from The Gladiators was always welcome when you're a teenage boy.
