Thank you for the informative video. It was really helpful in learning. If I may ask, could you show what a Sky Striker Player should do against a deck like Six Samurai Lockdown? It just seems they can get their Gate of the Six and proceed to flood the board with monsters that negate everything or just don't care about Ash Blossoms or Kaijus. I would be very interested in seeing how one such as yourself would manage a deck like that. Thank you for your time. I shall subscribe to help you on your Subscriber goal! Have a good day mate!
@@sugoiuseismoeabuse4058 thank you so much! I will do my best to provide a good answer. Unfortunately I cannot do so right now, but I will take my time tomorrow!
@@sugoiuseismoeabuse4058 I can't be too sure how to beat them since I haven't played against one during my climbs. On top of this they received pretty good support in Battle Shogun. After watching a couple games on YT, I can say one break point of the deck is Battle Shogun. You want to Ash Blossom this as it brings out their limited card Gateway of the Six which is the best card they have. Since it has no "once per turn" clause, they're able to search out their entire monster lineup and win the game easily. Another way to beat Battle Shogun is to have effect negation ready, like Veiler, Infinite Impermanence, and Widow Anchor. If they do manage to get Shi En, you need to bait out his spell/trap negate. You can't destroy him if he has other monsters, since he can just sac them in the place of his destruction. After you bait out his negate, Widow Anchor should handle him. Another way to consider is having Mystical Space Typhoon set or playing Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy Gateway of the Six before they pop off with it. You mention Kaiju doesn't work but I'm not sure why at a glance? Nibiru may be really effective in stopping them if they have no way to respond to his effect.
@@Rednu Thank you for your answer. It really helped me understand the weakpoints of that deck. In terms of the Kaijus, I watched a few Six Samurai Videos where the person had a Nibiru, and then didn't seem to be able to remove said Nibiru token to prevent themselves from getting murdered next turn. And the oddest part was that they never seemed to make a play beyond that Nibiru. Maybe in those videos the people there just didn't have the right cards or misplayed when facing Six Samurai/ Naturia Beast/Apollousa and friends. I could also be misremembering.
Thanks dude. Super informational videos like this helps people a lot. While most channels just say "Do this because I said so." At least you say the reason why and stuff. Once again good stuff bro.
Again I admire how you explain each play and misplay, really helps us to know how to play in similar situations. Most channels really don't go indepth into the cards like this and explain why you play certain cards first it's relieving when you do it so I don't mess up, once again good stuff!
Out of all the master duel channels you are only 1 of 2 i actually subbed to. I tip my hat to you with the commentary and explainations you provide in this videos. Not only do you do play by plays for decks that look fun to play but you also give insight on how to counter your opponents. After being away for over 5 years there were a ton of new cards and arch types that didnt exist back then. To me these vids dont feel like click bait but actually has learning involved. Even when you do misplays is helpful cause messing up is how you learn.
Hey thank you so very much for taking the time to write this. I do my best and I am glad you can appreciate my work. I'm glad it helps someone like you who has played before (around the same time I did I think actually) and that it could help bring you back into the game. I hope to release more and better gameplay commentaries in the future!
Bro!! You nailed it again!! Very detailed, plus i appreciate the detailed commentary, specially the miss plays. I learned playing strikers because of you and i apprecite the discussion you have for miss plays and what could have been done to do better. I keep on having miss plays but i learn from them. Thaank youu soo much bro!
absolutely unreal how helpful this video was as a new sky striker player. every other video was difficult to understand. This video was the opposite and was so easy to follow along with. Great content cant wait to check out more videos from you!
Thank you!! I thought that was missing in a lot of replays I've been watching. Thankfully I have experience playing Shaddolls so I understand a little of how they work, but I'll make sure to include this kind of detail in my next videos.
Awesome video! Tutorial all the way my man! Getting a new subscriber here. I’m from old generation of yugioh and with the release of master duel I decided to tread back in to yugioh…and wow!!! The surprise I received when I saw all these new cards and archetype decks. I had absolutely no idea what the heck I was doing. It goes without saying that my old a.. is constantly looking for information to play even the simplest of decks. Let’s face it back in my day yugioh lasted 15+ turns. Now it can last only 1-2 turns depending on hand, deck, and the player and it happens way more often than it used to. Thank you again and great job!! Keep it up!
Hey thanks a lot, appreciate you took the time to write this. It's my pleasure to make videos to receive great comments like yours! Thank you for watching.
You are the reason why I play the Sky Striker Deck, very informative and each video I get to see from you I learn new things. Thank you so much! You really deserve all the likes and subscribes that you are getting. Congratz Bro
This was an amazing video. Step-by-step explanation of every move helps someone like myself who is just learning the deck immensely. Hope you keep up the content :)
Hello! I just got into Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time a week ago, and this video, and your video on the Dragonmaids really helped me fall into this rabbit hole. I couldn't find any guides or info that was really new player friendly, and I'm learning so much from your content, so ty!
Thanks for taking the time to explain what the big threats in the deck you were facing were, as well as going in depth on the card advantage explanation. Great video, and I'd love to see more sky strikers vs other match-ups as well!
Yeah, it's so easy to tunnel vision and default to plays that worked in the past. I'm very used to forming these "shortcut thoughts" because Yugioh is such a wordy game and I don't have the patience to read and think about every scenario. This is helpful because it gives me time to form better thoughts and strategies, but in cases like this it can be dangerous since it has resulted in an overall resource lost (I lost the option to go into Zeke). That's why I try to make it a habit to think out my moves even if I know the general idea or shortcut thoughts on what I'm trying to do.
What's up man. I really like this video, it is a really good teaching tool so much so that it is maybe a little bit better then even the tutorial that is in the game. A person can watch this and grow not only as a sky striker player, but as a tool master duelist as well. I feel like this video on this one archetype provides insight on how to strategize in general. Nice job man.
Your video helped a lot my learning process on sky strikers. It's now one of my top 3 decks together with live twins. I'm currently saving up URs for the effect veilers so I can get the optimized Access Code line. Currently I'm using a Droll&Lock bird + Ash as a cheap replacement.
Glad to see this channel blowing up, the editing is clean, the information is concise and effective, and it just so happens to currently revolve around sky strikers!
Im so glad you hit 1k subs, these videos are the defenition of underrated, you take your time to explain every card, combo and decision so we new players can benefit the most from it. Im really looking forward to seeing more guides and videos from you :)
got platin5 with your help within 2-3 days, after a 5 years break, thx for it all, I start to struggle agaisnt few decks but maybe im still playing some stuff incorrectly
Thank you for your guides. I like the way you describe your reasoning when play a card so that I can take notes on how to play with this deck. Now I'm trying to climb to Platinum with Sky Strikers 💪
You did great. I used hate sky strikers, cause i didn't understand how any of the combos work with just spells, but this really makes it seem alot easier to understand. Thank you
Yoo best outro in a yu gi oh video. Im a new player learning the ropes and your videos are super clear and well explained. Especially for beginners like myself. Keep up the great work man !
I love how Master duel reignited some people passion for yu gi oh and having the hability to build your "dream deck" appeal to the veterans as well. your content is great and I'm learning a loot thank you very much and keep going strong.
Love the fact that you were extatic over 188 subscribers and at the moment of writing this you're at over 2000. Super stoked for you. You're also one of my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh content makers by far. I've seen a few like Dkayed and H2HB and you're deffo superior. Would not suprise me one bit if your occupation is teaching. Keep up the good work!!
i am really greatfull for these videos i onyl started playing like a week ago and most people was no help at all in learning the game . last time i played was 5d's on the ds when the idea of summoning 5 cards in 1 turn was like mind blowing so when i picked this up and people did that every game i tried asking for help and all i got was add negates which i thought i had not knowing all the massive card and rule changes. so its nice to have someone that willing to actually teach people how to play the game
thanks man, thats exactly the video i needed, i just start to play sky striker and your video helped me a lot, im from brazil and theres no youtuber with a good explanation like you, sorry for my bad english, keed going bro, your videos are awesome
These videos are a godsend my man. Other videos are nowhere near as detailed, and they skip over a lot of things that are not common knowledge for inexperienced players. Btw i loved how you showcased the deckilst and how the changes where highlighted. Especially comming from a certain video which just showcased the most important cards and no decklist besides a ''Join our discord for the full decklist''
Thanks a lot! I'm glad I was able to help cover topics that I thought would be foreign for newer or inexperienced players. That's kinda wild they gatekeep their decklists with discord invites lol. Not like there are already a wealth of decklists available.
First match illustrates why you run Quick play removal instead of jamming waves. You can use CC on SP to banish schism which means they cannot recur it and it can’t be activated outside of the main phase
Thanks for the good content! As a returning player playing SS, it would be very nice seeing replays from you explaining how to counter the meta. I’ve been out of the game since 2016 so most cards are new. I’ve lost a couple times now to Eldlich and others just because I don’t expect a card effect or and extra deck staple, so these vids you are posting are super insightful. Waiting for the next one!
I can relate with your position very well. The best way to learn is to throw yourself in there but I hope to be able to assist in providing you additional context and my experiences playing against the stronger decks. Thank you for watching!
@@Rednu Totally! I am on Platinum IV now and it’s getting trickier. A series of how to counter the decks on each level until you reach Platinum I would be awesome!
Nice play and explain, i learn alot as a beginner. Btw, do you think the accesscode combo is a must to close game, or is any other way to close game, or any rec for extra deck.
There are probably other ways but I'm not too aware of them. Sky Strikers can grind games though with the number of cards they obtain. I'd say Decode Talker is a good way to get some extra damage in, he is free from Link Generation starter structure deck. Rasterliger is alright but only really if you need to destroy high ATK creatures, not necessarily to close out or end the game since you typically use your link-3 to summon him. I'm hoping someone else can chime in to help but I do think Accesscode Talker is the best way for Sky Strikers to end the game.
yo, great video! really put some things into a different perspective and you calling out your own misplays makes it easier for me to reflect on my own misplays and what i could have done better so that ik for future duels. i did have one question tho and that’s regarding Forbidden Droplets vs. DRNM. i’m not completely sure which to run as forbidden droplets seems to be more versatile but i sometimes find it to be a dead card if i can’t send a monster to the gy to deal with something like herald of ult. in that case, does it seem fine to run DRNM over droplets and do you believe that droplets’ utility is just much more useful over DRNM that i should definitely run it over DRNM? again, amazing video, i’ll be subbing to keep up with your content in the future!
Honestly never heard of DRNM until now and it looks pretty good. Droplet for me is just a good card to blanket fire monster floodgates like Herald. I feel like the cost is not too hard to pay, and like its versatility as a quick-play spell. That is probably why I wouldn't like DRNM over it. With Droplet you could bait out a negate from Drytron and chain Droplet. Maybe they had 4 cards, 2 of them were Herald of Orange Light, and they paid 1 of the fairies as cost to negate with Perfection. With DRNM, they still have 2 negates in hand since it must come first and cannot chain onto others. But with Droplet they would only have 1. Maybe that's a fringe case, but it's one I can immediately think about why I would prefer Droplet. Thank you so much for your kind words btw and I appreciate the sub. I hope to make more content for you in the future.
this kind of gameplay with explaination is what I needed, so many type of deck out there, sometimes I just lost because I accidently skipped a word in 4 paragraph long text in card effect. I hope they can split the card effect into certain points like : graveyard effect: .... quickplay effect: ... or just split them into seperate line not in one big paragraph
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. That would be nice. I think it's more readable in japanese version since they number the effects. But yeah, because Master Duel is multi-language and some cards don't have updated text, I would think it's something very difficult to implement.
Hey, enjoying your Sky Striker build a lot, thanks for the SS series! I couldnt craft all URs (currently are 1 Veiler and 1 Lightning Storm missing), what are the best replacements? I am running a third Multirole and Raigeki instead rn.
@@Rednu Wow, that was one fast reply, thanks! Im not sure about the Roze though, already playing two and that seems like enough, already playing three Pots too, and I would have to craft Crossout, gonna try out Droll & Lock then :)
Thank you I'm glad you liked it! You cannot special summon on the same turn as Pot of Duality. This is a big problem because Sky Strikers stronger setup plays include adding Engage to hand with Shizuku's effect. This makes you have to choose between Duality and Shizuku, and the choice will almost always be Shizuku, making Duality very often a dead card.
Could the Effectveilers be exchanged for psy-framegear gamma? Im kinda new to the game and those videos you do are really high quality and help me out a lot, thanks for those amazing guides!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad it helps you. I would not consider Gamma a replacement for Veiler because Gamma doesn't facilitate the Selene-AccesscodeTalker combo. It has great use as a hand trap for sure, but Veiler has a dual purpose in that it is a somewhat decent hand trap but also someone necessary for Selene combo.
I'm so glad, I wanted to cover some of the fundamental topics for new players. A lot of experienced players want to say it's "obvious" and take it for granted, but it's not. The way I learned these things is through the friends I grew up playing Yugioh with and I wanted to present it here in a nice way. Thank you for watching.
Just came by to thank you for these guides. Haven't played YuGiOh since Synchro monsters. These guides really help although i still struggle with pacing, need to get used to Sky Strikers playstyle. Maybe next do some tips and tricks against certain meta decks while doing commentary of gameplay. Salute.
Maybe more striker vs other decks??? Hahhaha. By the way, your videos are pristine. The commentary, the audio quality, your pacing, pristine. Keep up bro! Hope to see you flourish!
I have enough board wipes in Harpie's Feather Duster and Lighting Storm. You can play Raigeki if you want! I would cut any one of the cards I added if you were looking for something to cut.
Not necessarily. It is nice when you can guarantee a use out of it to reset a card, but sometimes you may have to search for other cards that handle your opponent's field like Widow Anchor.
Really enjoyed this video! I built my own deck based on your explanations and my own experiences with the game. What do you think on running kaijus instead of nibiru? I think it's less of a dead card if the opponent's deck doesn't summon as much.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you were able to bounce ideas off of mine and make YOUR own deck, that is great. I personally don't like Kaijus as much since they are not reactive but proactive plays. Nibiru I think hits a huge variety of decks including top tier decks, while I think Kaiju is a great problem solver but not for as many. This is just my experience though, and from the people on ladder that I played against, you should always tailor the deck to meet the opponents you are facing.
It’s crazy how your such a small channel but you honestly are a lot more enjoyable to watch over someone like solemn yugioh or Dzeeff (don’t get me wrong I love watching both of them) but you go so into detail with the sky striker build I’m honestly netdecking your build so keep it up bro
Thank you for your kind words! I will do my best to provide the content that I think I can provide. I hope it works out for you and that I can provide more content to help you on your path.
@@Rednu I just love how you show the card up close and highlight in yellow and really break down each card. Makes it a lot easier to understand. do you have any other builds planned? Or any other decks you like playing?
I am thinking of making a Drytron guide video and for more Sky Striker commentary content at the moment. I might also make something for the upcoming Xyz Festival event!
@@Rednu sounds dope. I’m actually liking the sky striker build a lot. Tbh tho it’s kinda challenging to learn. I would love to see a dry tron vid tho I’m about to make a third account just so I can make a drytron deck 😂
@@KaySav24 omg whoops I meant to say Virtual World. I get them confused sometimes since they have some mechanical looking monsters. But yeah man I relate to the multiple accounts lol they give so much free gems early I try to make a free deck and take it to plat 1 to see if I'm learning it well.
You did a really good job explaining to new players how sky strikers work but perhaps can you also list down the weaknesses of the theme, as well as introducing sky striker as engine or other engines for sky striker into the mix like mekk-knights, invoked, orcust would be pretty cool for players to open their creativity horizontally rather than follow a single path without exploring what more they can do to cover the flaws and expand views around cards.
I can see how in-depth guides would be helpful but it honestly is a little beyond me. I don't theorycraft Sky Strikers with a bunch of other archetypes unfortunately. I just like playing sweaty decks and try my best to explain my experiences to others. I also have to respect the people's time but I will try my best to include weaknesses moving forward. Thank you for your feedback!
@@Rednu All good, mate. I'm actually a returning player myself and struggled to grasp the current pace since the last time i played was almost 8-10 years ago. Watched alot of vids to learn different kind of decks and currently running Sky-strikers mekk knights myself in master duel. Can't say im perfect either, your missplays are understandable so would love to know what else we need to pay attention into.
Question. Turn 4 when you steal one Winda to crash into another... Why didnt you link summon into Hayate and attack directly with Raye first sending another spell to the GY?
Good question. At that point, I already have 3 spells in grave and don't have a spell I want to dump. I also didn't double attack because he Maxx C'd me, it's not worth another 1500 damage to give him another card.
Thanks for the gameplay. I learnt a lot that I didnt know before. It's really nice that you also explain the opponents deck. Can you also post a gameplay against Eldlich decks? Im kinda struggling to deal with them.
Thankyou for all the effort You put on your videos, they are really helping me understand how to play this Game as a newer player, one fact i love about your videos is that i learn a Lot not only about the decks You are showcasing but also how to play against the current meta decks. I'm wishing you the Best and i hope You keep doing this great content!
You win the coin flip :^) No but seriously you hope you open Ash Blossom and drop it vs Normal Summon Diviner usually, Maxx C, or Nibiru. Can also draw into Forbidden Droplet, or play through all their negates (really hard). Another nice card is Called by the Grave for their Eva. Drytron is a very hard deck to beat especially since we prefer going second.
I didnt really want to play sky strikers since i was never a fan of links ~~also waifu decks XD thats my L~~ but watchijg your breakdown of it convinced me to actually underatand how SS worked. Thank you for being so through with your guides :3
I'm glad they were able to help you!! We have similar backgrounds lol I also did not like links at all but I do love waifu decks lmao. Thank you for watching!
Evil Twin shouldn't be too much trouble. I haven't read into them much but I haven't had trouble fighting them when I did play them. I'm not too sure what Dinos do at all since I haven't played vs one. Thank you for watching!
I feel so iffy about having pot of desires in a sky striker deck, it seems like the one deck that doesn't need it. I personally dont run desires because you can get insane card advantage with all the engage recycles you do and you can practically thin out your deck to draw what you need eventually. Still a pretty solid build and great video!
woah how did i missed it D: but again , thanks for the video! your videos has been really helpful since I'm still learning SS , but now i kinda switch interest to Unchained Evil Twins , really fun deck to play! this video is also helpful because now i know what "float" means , and what are the common plays while playing SS. as usual cheers Rednu! :D
Cheers! Thank you for watching. I am actually interested in Evil Twins since it's a vtuber deck and I love vtubers. So maybe something in the future? 👀
@@Rednu I'd love to see you making a video on Evil Twins xD though there's one card that's still missing , the card name is Trouble Sunny , I'm still waiting for it but even without that card Evil Twins is a powerful deck! :D
I got everytime the 2 traps and 3 more useless spells in the beginng which ich cant use like raigeki or the feather... What should i do if my opponent summons a 6k monster at his turn and insta kill me 😅
They're super expensive and not at all necessary. Desires is a fine substitute and you can keep another copy of Roze. One suggestion I saw in my last vid was someone ran 2 Foolish Burial Grounds and 1 Metalfoes Fusion.. these are two SR cards that make Foolish Burial Grounds function almost exactly like Upstart Goblin. The only problem is if you somehow lose Metalfoes Fusion.
I've cut Rose and Area to one also run 3 Pot of avarice and Pot of Desire. Also included a Necroface as a tech card. Since playing top decks you'll need to grind
@@Rednu Yeah, was sick of banishing both Widow anchor, engaged and all 3 copies of effect veiler. Also the deck only performed one or two normal summon. Don't mind removed deck ;)
try triple toon tables of content + toon cyber dragon and megafleet dragon, easy 3 spells in grave and an out for some extra deck zone/link boss monsters
I can definitely see the utility in Megafleet. I don't fight a lot of decks that use the extra monster zone though so I'm not sure how well it'll work for me.
Your opponent should have negated multi role instead of shizuku capone’s effect to negate is permanent if I remember correctly so it would have been more beneficial in the long run for winning the grind game
i'm returnee after hiatus 14 years ago, i use drytron but i want to play sky striker but its kinda complicated and hard to understand ( even though drytron is weird too... i don't know why i can play it ). thank for the info about SS !
