Skydiving, CUTAWAY caught on video

This was the 5th cutaway for this skydiver in a very short period of time. We discovered his stowless deployment bag was too small for his canopy and when he deployed, the fabric was coming out before line stretch could occur and caused the line-over malfunctions.

Just curious..who packed the gear?? I always did my rig. Not that I don't trust packers..just not with my life..

He packed his own parachute. I'm the same. I have 2,192 jumps and zero cutaways. I don't trust anyone else to pack for me, besides, I psycho pack both of my canopies. Most packers don't know how.

You never chase down fabric. Never. His canopy and freebag were recovered. Anyone that chases a cutaway is a fool.

@@marcingala. you can take what I say with a grain of salt, but if you were to ask any S&TA or the USPA, they're going to tell you it's not a smart thing to do. Why would you risk tangling yourself up and possibly having a malfunction (or worse) to save a canopy that's going to make it back to earth? My life is worth much more than someone's canopy.
