My heart is so heavy today.. have been crying all morning. I grew up with their songs, saw them live.. listened to them when I missed my childhood. Now they are gone and will never sing again. It is so hard to believe. RIP
Actually, I was born and raised in Canada, to parents from Poland who were grateful their whole lives for having been liberated from the Nazis by the Soviet Army.
BytomGirl they will continue to perform. the ensemble had around 180 members. i cried when i first read the news last night. i love their performances. so charismatic.
Maybe after such a horrible tragedy, we can see each other more as fellow humans instead of an adversarial nationality. Probably too naive for reality, but a little more humanity never hurt anyone. RIP, all those aboard.
Love and respect and gratitude from the Netherlands. "On 25 December 2016, its artistic director, Valery Khalilov, and 63 other members of the Ensemble were killed in the Russian Defence Ministry aircraft crash of a 1983 Tupolev Tu-154 into the Black Sea just after takeoff from the southern resort city of Sochi, Russia. The Red Army Choir singers and dancers were en route to Syria to entertain Russian troops there for Orthodox Christmas celebrations." - Wikipedia
WOW!!! THANK YOU RUSSIA!!! Your fellow countrymen achieved more in their all too brief lifespans than most of us will in an entire lifetime! WE LOVE YOU!!!
He has the whole Russian soul in him. Russians cannot be defeated . If you gave a Russian a spoon , consider that he is armed . If you gave a Russian a note, and any one, consider that he is invincible. And therefore it is better to see a friend in Russian , not an enemy .
Does any one else enjoy listening to the ambiant noises like coughing and ackward movement in the background from symphonies and other similiar events?
I love classical music (so ardently )even more but i don't know if i am bias for liking this because it is sung by one of my revered groups or i simply like the song i hope i am not being biased even if i am sorry i really like the alexandrov ensemble. hello is the only song i know and like of adele actually is the only song i listened involuntarily. My condolonces to the families of those who died several years ago. Greetings from the Republic of the Philippines.
