The purpose of the stickers was to put them on the collection posters, specifically on top of the Skylanders' names as proof that you've collected them. Speaking of which, you forgot about the codes that came with the stickers! You know, the codes that you could enter in either Skylanders Universe or the Lost Islands mobile game to unlock Skylanders and stuff in-game? I remember back when I used to scour the internet looking for codes for Skylanders I didn't have so I could unlock them in those games. Those were the good old days. XD
i did exactly that though with 2nd hand Skylanders, i do a little check mark, or write the variant name above the figure also i had to make stickers myself for Bowser, DK, Barrel Blast & Clown Cruiser as for Imaginators i put the title sticker above the name, but at the bottom of the figure to mark that i own that one (i even did that with the 3 chests (i wanted to feel like my collection is complete, so i kept buying those blind bags until i got a bronze, a silver and a gold (took my 7 tries))) & with the Imaginators, i write the name, put a emblem sticker on both the sticker & figure and put them above each other on the poster (even some at the top, if i have more than 6 of an element)
Ok, a little explanation: The trading cards use a different set of stats than the games. Maybe there was supposed to be a card game, I dunno. The stickers were meant to be put on the poster instead of just marking it. Hope this helps!
There was a card game per se, which was battlecast but who played that? I think I remember a battlecast pack came in my superchargers starter pack, or I might have seen that
Actually, in Europe, Imaginators on XBO came with a unique variant of the Rift Engine portal from Superchargers. It had no trap slot. (Technically it did, but you weren't able to access it without ripping the cover off of the engine.)
1:22 I remember when I re-bought Trap Team after 7 years, I had the assumption that my Xbox 360 portal would work with the PS4 version of the game. It didn't work so I had to wait an extra week for the PS4 portal to arrive (That was the longest week I've ever had the displeasure of enduring) Also, that outro is perfection
I might sound stupid but I only realized this in my most recent superchargers playthrough. the superchargers portal is a tarmac with a rift engine cuz kaos shut off the actual portals to skylands as he says in the opening. It’s not really a portal and that’s why your skylander can’t be summoned without a vehicle (aside from promoting the gimmick). The skylanders need rift engines to enter skylanders.
The stickers were meant to go onto the poster. It wasn't too meaningless for SSA and Superchargers, but Giants, Swap Force, and Trap Team had the codes for stuff like Cloud Patrol and Lost Islands. Plus they'd fill in the spots to of course keep track of you collection. The extra character stickers were pretty meaningless tho
i remember having all the games but ssa and imaginators when it came out. had a family friend who bought me and my brother a gift. she knew i liked skylanders and not only bought me a skylander from imaginators (which i still didnt have at the time) but it was a bronze chest. i was happy she got me something but at the same time all i got was just a paper weight.
Fun fact, I actually got a non swap-force portal for imaginators for some reason, and I got basically a downgraded supercharger portal withs it flaw being that it doesn't have the trap slot, weird
I managed to collect every single one of those stickers for the SSA poster, all except for Chop Chop's, which I lost, so I just coloured his space with a dark grey marker instead. Looking at it drives me insane to this day.
The Swap Force Dark poster had not only all three games, but it had slots for eight variants-Original Dark Spyro, Punch Pop Fizz, Volcanic Eruptor, and all 5 Dark Skylanders from Swap Force.
I’m the type of guy that never got Spyro’s adventure and instead got stickers from my mom that had the logo, Spyro, Gill Grunt, Wirlwind, Cynder, Eruptor, and someone else
....The stickers were supposed to go on the posters. The stickers are always the exact shape to go over the Skylander names on the poster for that game.

You could spend $500-$1000 to collect all the skylanders/accessories or you could spend like $100-$175 on NFC cars and a NFC card writer. Takes away some magic, but it’s SO MUCH CHEAPER. You also don’t need two boxes full either just a stack of NFC cards and/or NFC tags. You can also get a few unreleased Skylanders too. This is the route I took and I seriously don’t regret it. Everyone is different though if you want to collect do it, but don’t feel like it’s too crazy expensive to have a “complete collection”…
From what I can remember the Skylanders Spiros adventure 3Ds poster and the Skylanders giants 3DS poster had the variance that the game came with on the poster like punch potion pop fizz at least I know the 3DS one for giant has punch potion pop fizz on it because I have that poster. I also think that the volcanic vault was a pre-order exclusive for Spiros adventure, correct me if I’m wrong.
I personally loved the figure cards that used to come with the Skylanders. They were a great way of looking at your collection without the hassle of dragging out all your figures. Also, they were good for keeping track of what Skylanders you have, including variants. I was super bummed out that they stopped putting them in.

I don't really remember it too well, but I'm pretty sure Volcanic Vault was given out in GAME stores here in the UK. Not sure if there was some kind of requirement for it like spending a certain amount or something, but I got mine along with my first 3 skylanders (Drobot, Bash and Sonic Boom) before I got the game. Tried getting one for a friend like a week later, but they'd ran out of them by that point.
I have the chompy pop up and it’s quite great, kinda annoying putting skylanders in and then all out just to find someone I need but other than that it’s pretty cool
7:38 I only ever got one of these too, which was in the dark starter pack. It was a gold one, too, so pretty good bang for your buck, thought I forgot what rarity of parts they gave you but the rarities and numbers vary by chest type I think
Bruh literally I wanted every single accessory when I was younger. Now I only care about just getting the portals and the expansion packs And I would see posters as collection trackers so I would cross out every skylander I had with permanent marker And I don’t want sprite cranberry anymore
Sadly for me… I put my skylanders cards in so,e random spot to “keep them safe”. I forgot where I put them so I made a new secret spot. Now it’s gotten to the point where I don’t have any cards, and I miss my collection.
maybe Light angel trap and Dark Snake trap should have been in Trap team but it is just hard to make black dye for Dark dye and other dyes are going to run out
I have the tower of time for swap force and it's a cool level i like it because I'm a big fan of skylanders swap force because the levels are very cool
