God damn. If this is not one of the most badass videos on youtube featuring on of the sexiest sounding skylines, then I dunno what could be any better than this!!! AWESOME!
Yep that is defenetly compressor surge, caused by having no bov. If you run a turbo setup and not bov/bpv or plumb back valve and an intercooler it will make that noise. As the boost hits the shut buterfly valve it goes back to the turbo , making that sound
@@satoshinakamoto6046 The car that JDMSupreme has is not the same, his car is the one that was used for Motorsports activities, this car was Kida's personal car that eventually ended up in Trinidad.
Though the engine lives from high rpm (as what youve said) he shifted early because to preserve the engine life itself. Imagine, you keep on hi-rev on a 950hp engine just to shift gears dont you think it might kill the engine sooner? Plus, he shifted early because he is on a public road and he is being aware of other road users. The driver cant drive at all? Have you been in a a car that fast before?
its fucking compressor surge I'm tired of these comments in videos that think it's a wastegate or bov. the wastegate is what you hear when he is flooring it it has a screamer pipe in it. ball bearing turbos can take way more abuse than a journal bearing turbo so a very small if at all bov is needed. rally cars use very small bovs to keep boost in the pipes to make them quicker between shifts. the sound you hear when he shifts is air being chopped by the compressors blades and no turbos don't spin backwards because of it.
@240SSONLY Well, if you want to import it to Canada as a track car, you can. Little less red tape. Only issue is, you can't drive it on city streets, as you can't register them (until 2015 or so). I suppose you could have it imported right to Columbia, but I'm not sure how their laws work. And no worries, man.
This is signals street car in Japan. Your thinking of the one they shipped over to the states that did the Time Attack And Drifting . . . . There's 2 of them.
well you're right... Ok i have to excuse what i said, but i'm used to push my 400 hp saab to the limits because of the timings on 1/4 mile. And yes, the most powerful car i've ever sat was a rebuild Nascar on a german autobahn about 1100 hp and i will never repeat that again! ;)
wat do you mean by that? i live in florida and im looking at getting an r34 4dr gts to have here for a bit and then may be take it down to south america
damnnnnn!! now that's a good sound. i wish my big brother's skyline sounds as good as that. His skyline only have 600HP+NOS but the blow-off valve doesn't sound as good as this one.
it should reach 200 mph... ...210... 220... 230... 240... or a possible 250 if this car is lightened at the most and it's horsepower levels and torque go above 1000.... nice car...
No one here mentions the name Kousuke Kida in the comments smh must be a bunch of kids here critiquing the wangan legend. Guy dominated Wangan late 70’s with 240z’s. These new gens not all but lost the art to this scene, it’s now taken over by fuck boys.
ummm kiddies that is definately not compressor surge . . . . The car has a hks ssqv with a purple insert. And NO! it's not the ssqv with the gold insert that makes it give the high pitch whistle. My friend has the exact same blow off valve on his turbo 5.0 mustang it gives off one kick ass sound compared to the regular ssqv with the gold insert. Even on the mustang it sounds kinda like compressor surge but it definatly isn't!!!!!
the signal auto r34, no it would not have had a blocked BOV, with a car of that magnitude there will defiantly be compressor serge (which is the fluttering) the loud scream is caused by a external wastegate. my previous comment was merely for ppl who want the same sound on a obviously weaker car. my cars only rated at 450hp, no where near this beast, but it certainly sounds the same
I could say all that shit to if i wanted to as well. But ill make up a story saying i got a fully built K20A in an EG hatchback on 25 psi on 93 octane with 600WHP.
@240SSONLY It's a law that a car has to be 15+ yrs. old to import it in and register it, because it's then a "classic" or something like that. It's a bullshit law to keep people buying in country instead of importing something for super cheap. If you're going to import a vehicle into Canada, you'll need to be living here. I'm not sure how the US works. Might be different
the car is only good on the straightaways cuz in the curves is the skyline's weakpoint because is heavy.i belive me or not in reality i have seen a corolla gt-s beat the skyline.
