What a goof she is. I cut a bunch of it out as the radio was playing in the background and can’t have a copyright strike. I had no idea she was recording initially. She snuck in, grabbed the camera and started recording 😂

Is there clear coat in between the bell mouth and the pipe? The bell looks like aluminum, and the pipe is SS. I would also dip, or spray the rivet with some clear just before putting it in to help avoid galvanic corrosion.

I would think a simple way to hold doors open would be a clothes pin, clamped in the middle, on the hinge point. Or maybe a prop rod like many cars use? Pivot up out of way.

Yea I think i'm going to use a rod attached to the door that just comes down plugs into a former.

@@thelightersideofrc theres a guy that does alot of that aluminum tape covering to make rivets and what not on models. He has a ton of youtube videos. In one of his videos showing the process using that aluminum tape he did a crazy ass latch on a door i could have never ever, ever thought of but ill try to edit this comment with a link to the video. Youll be blown away. Its rather simple but genius. Took me several hours to dig the video up. Memory was wrong and wouldnt work for that specific hinge door. Hello James. This size of aircraft is very similar to most of the upper end, upper size aircraft. So there have been many in this size category that I have built.

for most stuff it just the cheepy. I don't do much airbrushing.

if your problem with super and hyper-sonic engines is too high speed air burn intake, then side-suck the heating-air-burn-oxygen-air, or pure external combustion heating heat transfer heat-sink pulse/continuous ramjet, dont have to worry about the flame, if its "in-between" or "external"

just have a compressed air tank where air is stored temporarily to be used in the burn operation

that way the speed of the engine, aircraft does not affect the combustion directly, but supersonic air can be fed in the heat transfer plates, even coal fired engines, heat engines can be used

Obviously they don't do it much, but about what percentage do you think the fake fans restrict the airflow to the real engines?

I would guesstimate 0. There is significant space around and through the fan. Maybe if they were stationary there would be some but as soon as they start spinning they also funnel air through. Great question!

Can i ask what happened to your hand? I dont need an answer at all. Especially if youre uncomfortable talking about it. The reason i ask is a friend of mine blew his almost entirely off with a mortar fire work. The one time i wasnt there to tell him to not do the dumb shit he usually tries to do. Hes real messed up about it. We both ride jet skis and race dirt bikes. He is in the middle of serious opiate weening from surgeries and hes depressed as hell. Just thought id ask maybe if you were born that way or if you had an accident and what helps your mental health if it was an accident also any fantom pains?

Of course! Not uncomfortable at all. Fortunately (I think) I was born that way. I think it's a good thing because I have never known any different. It hasn't slown me down with some things, I fly planes! Play guitar. just don't ask me to open a really tight jar or do up my buttons really quick on a button up shirt. Just stupid stuff like that.

Why not use Electric Ducted Fan. Only the Wealthy modelers can afford a setup like that. Want to reach more guys in the hobby? Make it so these guys can reach the cost and enjoy your videos. I'm giving you a Thumbs Down for this reason. Good luck with your Channel.

I'm no way wealthy, but I have received lots of great ideas and clever work methods from this channel that helps me and my modelling regardless of power choice. I'm currently building a PC-6 Porter and this exact channel is a great support for me. My thought is that we need these kind of channels because it displays awesome craftsmanship.

Also, EDFs anywhere near this scale are not inexpensive either. Granted, they are not as expensive as micro-turbines, but an electric plane of this scale wouldn't be accessible to most hobbyists either. Beyond that, since this is a business for him, we are getting to see these projects mostly because he can record what he was going to do anyway. If that weren't the case, we might not get to see any videos from him. Which would be a shame.

Ducted fans would just be as expensive as the turbine, think about the huge escs it would need and how many lipos it would to power it and flight times would be half then a turbine
